@WillSixtySix Dudunsparce ex is undeniably the single best card you may add to swing your Bolt matchup, giving you new winning lines. I'd absolutely consider adding it if you expect more Bolt going forward. I opted not to play it since it adds little to the deck outside the Slop and Bolt MU's.
263rd/2150 at Utrecht Regionals with Catcher LopSparce. Deck was fun and consistent but definitely, like most decks right now, has some pronounced issues. Hitting a few too many fighting / uncapped damage decks prevented a deeper run, but I am not too disappointed given my prep.
3/3 for Day2's at Utrecht majors, playing Lopunny/Dudunsparce. Happy to have made it once again at my hometown regional despite my abhorrent preparation. 5-3-1 is an ugly record but I was not unpleased with my play, given that I hit 2 Bolt, a Honchkrow, a Garchomp and an Okidogi.
Yes, I should be testing for Utrecht. No, I do not particularly enjoy this format. Yes, I have been playing too much Hearthstone. Had a lot of fun and went on a 16 win-streak (and counting) in Wild (Plat+) with this Reno Dragon Druid homebrew, so I thought I'd share it.
Barely kept up with Pokémon, and I am feeling ill-prepared to be playing in my 'hometown' Regional in Utrecht next week. But I did happen to get myself to almost Top1K Legend in HS in a wave of obsessive hyperfixation so that's pretty cool.
200th/2200 at Stuttgart Regional Championships with Clefairyless Gardevoir. Quite happy with my play given the little time I had to prepare, and the list felt great. I hope to have more time to play Pokémon soon again, since there is still a lot to improve on.
I'll be back!
9-3-2 for 80th/2433 at the Frankfurt Regionals with DuskDengo. Really enjoyed the non-linearity and the ability to accordion between defensive and proactive play this list offers. Reasonably happy with my play, but I'll need to learn better time-management.
I'll be back!
Went out into Antwerp alongside @Frankvdwielen last weekend. Did some exploring and bar retro on saturday, and ended up winning the 60+ player cup on sunday. A very enjoyable few days, and the prizing is enough to pay for the weekend and then some. We take those.
Playing a homebrew Ethan's Typhlosion list to Arceus Tier before the real testing starts. This deck is surprisingly intricate and a real joy to play, although it is obviously not a top meta contender. I am just going to leave this here in case people are interested.
First W of the season is in. Went 5-0 at the Utrecht League Challenge with Toedscruel. The deck is very consistent, way better than people give it credit for, and an overall relaxing and enjoyable experience to play. On to the next!
Played same 60 with @Frankvdwielen. We'd been on Arch for weeks prior to the tournament, and did well with it during our prep.
However, it was generally identified as a good play just prior to the tournament, which mitigated advantages since others were better prepared for it.
352nd/3361 at the EUIC with Archaludon.
While I was decently happy with my performance in day1, day2 was an unmitigated disaster. I had some very unfortunate games, but also did not play sharp matches. There is still a lot of work to do.
I'll be back.
Was still holding off for a bit to make my first real post on here - but I think this deserves some mentioning.
I just made 5 cup finals in a row - winning 4 of them.
Needless to say, I am thrilled with these results. Onto EUIC we go.
Special mention goes to @frankwh81099306
for being an awesome playtesting partner and building the list responsible for the three Pika playmats, and
@OwynKamerman for being an absolutely excellent opponent in three of the five finals.
