This week, we took part in the Rammies Program for healthy teeth! The children learnt how to correctly use a toothbrush and enjoyed watching the teeth gradually get cleaner!
In Autumn Term 2, the children learnt about the importance of Remembrance Day. We read the book, ‘One Hundred Steps’ to understand more about the life of our inspirational person, Captain Sir Thomas Moore.
We wore our poppies with pride and took part in a 2 minutes silence.
Our outdoor classroom enables us to take risks in a safe environment, as well as develop our learning in different ways!
We definitely have a lot of determined risk takers this year! 😀
We are so proud of our children in Reception! The progress we are seeing in their writing really is amazing! ✏️
They are always determined to ensure the letters are formed correctly, and with the help of our crocodile snap song, their fine motor skills continue to strengthen! ✍🏼
During our Wonderful Woodland topic in Autumn 1, the children learnt about the anatomy of a pumpkin!
We used our fine motor skills to cut, pull and mix, and enjoyed some delicious homemade pumpkin soup!
Today we are remembering the soldiers who fight to make our world better ♥️ The children are so proud to be wearing their own poppies, which have kindly been made by Mrs Brown’s Mum!
We will be holding a minutes silence at 11am with the rest of our school to show our respect.
To begin our ‘Let’s Celebrate’ topic this half term, the children have been learning all about Bonfire Night🔥. The highlight was making chocolate apples, and eating them whilst watching a firework display! 🎆🍏 @satrust_@ashwood_spencer
Before half term, we explored the anatomy of a pumpkin! Our school chef, Mr Purdy, very kindly made us some pumpkin soup to try! The children were open minded to try something new and commented on how yummy it was! 🎃@ashwood_spencer@satrust_

We had the most amazing time at Bluebells Dairy Farm on Wednesday! The children were so brave feeding the animals, were fascinated when they saw a cow being milked, and loved tasting their famous ice cream! 🐄#DREAMers@ashwood_spencer@satrust_
We had some creative DREAMers today who used thin pipes and connectors to build a rocket! They used their previous knowledge of Space to think about the different features of a rocket! They had a nose and window, and then used their arms to make exhaust flames! @ashwood_spencer
