It’s important to remember that change takes time. Even the history of AANHPI Heritage Month is proof of that. But still wishing this new initiative moved quickly to start taking action.

Change takes time. 2 Asian women, supported by allies, first established a week in May to recognize AAPI heritage. It failed the first go around, passed on the 2nd try and only became a full month in 1992 under Bush Senior.
