The racist attacks against Indian Americans on X in the context of the H-1B debate have been disgraceful. America was founded on the principle that all people are created equal. We are a nation of immigrants.
Targeting people based on their race or origin betrays the ideals embodied in the U.S. Constitution. We must stand together to condemn this racial hate unequivocally.
Growing political backlash:
1. Board of Supervisors, led by @conniechansf, passed a resolution.
2. @AaronPeskin is the most outspoken critic of closure.
3. @DanielLurie and @MarkFarrellSF signed a letter concerning the plan would unfairly hurt Asians.

There should be *way* more attention on this. LAPD killed Yang Yong, and has not released body camera footage or details of the investigation to the public. There must be public accountability. https://t.co/yyKC1kSMmQ
