As @kamasaug, we're ready and prepared to welcome new members and entrants at the mighty Makerere University, come August 2025.
In his remarks, Dr. Kiyonga challenged the members to remain united. Later on, he officiated at the fundraising session of soliciting investment capital for @kamasaug to open up a self sustaining project.
We thank all members who contributed to the successful attended.

officially welcomed the Chancellor, Dr. Kiyonga Chrispus at Makerere University. The function, which also doubled as our reunion, connecting the alumni and continuing students, aimed at creating a self-sustaining association.

🛣️HELD TODAY: Bid Opening for the Kampala—Jinja Expressway Project. #KJEproject
⏪️BACKGROUND: @GovUganda prequalified four [04] consortia for the construction of the Kampala—Jinja Expressway project. Following this, bids were invited from the shortlisted firms.
🟢TODAY: We have received a bid from one firm [a consortia], marking a significant milestone in the procurement process.
⏩️NEXT: The evaluation process will now commence, focusing on legal, technical, environmental and financial compliance to ensure the Bidder meets all necessary requirements.
⏰TIMELINES: This process is expected to take not more than two [02] months from today, after which a determination will be made on whether the Bidder qualifies for the contract award to undertake this long awaited infrastructure project.
PRESENT: Ms. Barbara Namugambe, the Under Secretary, Ministry of Works & Transport [representing the Permanent Secretary]; Mr. Jim Mugunga, Executive Director, Public-Private Partnerships Unit @mofpedU along with a team of officials from the Ministry of Works & Transport witnessed the Bid Opening session.
