FACT CHECK & EXPOSE 🚨

Foreign-linked handles connected to the “Cockroach Janta Party” ecosystem are now spreading fake videos, misinformation and inflammatory narratives online while attempting to project them as “GenZ Protests” inside India.

One viral video being circulated across Instagram, Facebook and X was falsely claimed to be a recent “Cockroach Janta Party” protest against the Indian government.

The clip gained millions of views and over 285K likes, while the person in the video openly called for Nepal-style unrest, violent nationwide movements, and even made disturbing remarks encouraging physical attacks on BJP leaders.

But after proper fact-checking, the truth turned out to be completely different.

The video is actually from protests in the Itanagar Capital Region of Arunachal Pradesh around May 15, 2026. It was related to the 36-hour bandh organized by the Arunachal ST Bachao Andolan Committee (ASTBAC) against recent Inner Line Permit (ILP) guidelines and concerns over illegal Bangladeshi immigration > not against any political party as falsely claimed by “Cockroach Janta Party” linked accounts.

This is no longer “activism”, “satire” or “cool trend”. This is dangerous misinformation capable of creating unrest through fake narratives, edited clips, emotional manipulation and coordinated propaganda campaigns. Plus, all of this exposes how easily these so-called “awake” and “mature” GenZs can be manipulated by such narratives and misinformation.

What makes this even more alarming is that many figures associated with this ecosystem are operating from outside India, including the US (Abhijeet Dipke), Dubai (Nabil Shaikh), Ireland (Arpit Sharma), and other locations, while constantly pushing divisive narratives targeting Indian youth online.

Several handles linked to this ecosystem are now repeatedly spreading fake news, manipulated content, fear mongering and outrage-based propaganda to radicalize online audiences. Some are even encouraging hostility and violent rhetoric against political leaders.

This cannot be normalized in the name of “youth revolution” or “free speech”.

India absolutely has genuine issues that should be debated and solved democratically. Criticism of governments is normal in a democracy. But fake videos, incitement, coordinated propaganda and attempts to provoke unrest are unacceptable.

I urge Indian authorities including @adgpi, @PMOIndia, @HMOIndia, @MIB_India, @GoI_MeitY, @NIA_India and relevant agencies to investigate coordinated fake-news networks and foreign-linked “Cockroach Janta Party” propaganda ecosystems that are trying to manipulate Indian youth and destabilize public discourse through misinformation campaigns.

The video went live on Facebook on 26 April 2026 (yesterday).

Within hours, Kolkata Police confirmed his identity and suspended him specifically for these repeated social-media statements.

Several X users are already calling for his protection, indicating the clip has gone viral and triggered an immediate departmental response.

This is not a deepfake, old footage, or impersonation. It is a serving (now suspended) armed police constable speaking on record. The length (23+ minutes) and the fact that the department itself has acted on it further confirm it is genuine.

Kolkata Armed Police is part of the West Bengal police structure (under the state government).

Such open political speech by a uniformed officer is a serious breach of service rules, which is exactly why suspension followed so quickly.

The content is highly charged and aligns with long-running communal narratives in Bengal politics, but the speaker’s identity and the police action are now public record.
