Vietnam to enact new land laws in Aug to revive sluggish real estate market. Not clear how the new laws will help resolve key land disputes across the country. Many say the anti-corruption campaign has not yet helped them so far. This week hundreds farmers in Nghia Hung, more than 100 km from Hanoi, tried to walk to the capital to petition, after police stopped their buses and bikes. On the outskirts of Hanoi, locals in Soc Son gathered to express their voices. All related to plans to convert farms to industrial projects.
