@mintman22s @ITSEVRETT You have a right to be upset by a lack of credit, though admittedly I feel like that's something best and most easily ironed out in a private conversation
@mintman22s @ITSEVRETT This isn't to say that what Zach's doing is correct, but I don't recall ever being publicly credited when you had used my code for your remaster.
Also, he did credit you in the script, though he definitely could've done more.
@BoyoLite Granting permissions only extends to places owned directly by your friends. It doesn't give access for audios to be used in group games - whether the group is owned by your friend or not.
@3CountRoNetwork I don’t think he should be back in the community, and the project he is working on has nothing to do with ro wrestling.
There are people he hurt that he’s yet to make it up to, and until he does there’s simply no place for him in the community.
Just so my opinion is clear.
@3CountRoNetwork The things DB said in the past are disgusting and crude. He was rightly held accountable and was rightly excommunicated from ro wrestling.
It’s been 2 years since then, and it shouldn’t be understated that he has spent these past 2 years working hard to grow as a person.
@StevenSpectacle@BoyoLite@psimissin Just as a reference:
My twitter verifier server costs me $20 a month. Lite would have to sell 13 copies a month in perpetuity to break-even with a proprietary server at that rate.
Nothing wrong with using proxies for this, the only problem is that Fizo used a sketchy one.
@StevenSpectacle@BoyoLite@psimissin Hosting your own servers are expensive - a proxy is a free alternative for a project with a small budget.
Concerns listed in the article don't really apply to use cases like this - valid criticism of proxies, just generally irrelevant to this type of system.
Looking into the source code for Fizo's plugin, it uses an untrusted and potentially dangerous proxy endpoint.
I'd personally recommend steering clear of this as there is a chance that your IP could be leaked when using this plugin.
@AlrightTessv2@CasCritical I think the big distinction you're missing is that brands don't have feelings.
This was the hard work of a indie developer that is being ripped off SOLELY to undermine their hard work.
It's not even a money thing - Fizo isn't selling the plugin, he just wanted to be an ass.
@stmbleinhrftstp Being toxic has always and will always be cringeworthy.
On the other side of the coin, no one's ever been held back for being toxic. The most popular ro-wrestlers in history were the most toxic people I'd ever met.
Just a phase most people go through and then grow out of.
@bradfordIeve I find it to be revealing that your instinctual, knee-jerk reaction is to attempt to absolve yourself and your cohorts of any responsibility instead of just agreeing with the principle that hateful individuals shouldn't be allowed to participate in our community.
