Yesterday afternoon, per the ancient Jewish tradition, we walked with our elder son to the nuptial canopy - his brother held one of the posts - and saw him and his lovely bride exchange their oaths and become husband and wife.
In my heart I made my own oath: to do everything in my power that my future grandchildren grow up beloved, in a safe and democratic Israel, next door to a peaceful Palestine where other people’s grandchildren are loved and secure too.
Good night from Mount Carmel.
69 year old teacher’s defiant last moment before she was shot by Hamas terrorists on Oct 7.
Kinneret Gat stuck out her tongue, refusing to show fear, as guns were pointed at her moment before she was riddled with bullets.
Kinneret Gat was murdered in 7/10, but her heroism was aired in new footage only last week.
Her daughter Carmel was one of the hostages recently shot dead by Hamas, her body found in an advanced state of starvation.
Mother and daughter are remembered as wonderful persons, peace lovers, pro-democracy activists. Incidentally, they were also descendants of a Jewish lineage that never left the Land of Israel and hails from the Second Temple era (look up the Zinati family of Peki’in).
Kinneret did so much in her life, and ended it as a hero of Israel simply by sticking her tongue out to the armed brutes.
To code or not to code? Is open source more dangerous than expected?
These questions and many others are tackled in today's interview in @LePoint, to celebrate the publication of 'Nexus' in France. French speakers can read it on https://t.co/3ehlF10py7.
