Mathew 7:7-8, popular scripture in the Gospel. Believers are encouraged to ask and they will receive, SEEK and they will find(i will come back to this later), knock and the door will be open...

During one of my personal Bible studies, I meditated on this message and, in the process, examined how the Greek text rendered this passage, which appeared as follows.

KEEP ON ASKING AND YOU WILL RECEIVE

KEEP ON SEEKING AND YOU WILL FIND(will be back to this)

KEEP ON KNOCKING AND YOU WILL RECEIVE.

The term "seek" can be interpreted as the deliberate, active, and intentional pursuit of an objective. An individual engaged in seeking typically exerts significant effort and pressure upon themselves to achieve their desired outcome. It's an active pursuit.

So the bible in Luke 19:10 "The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost". How did Jesus go about His ministry in seeking to save the lost? He was deliberate and intentional, actively pursuing his goals, often with a significant amount of force. That is how one seeks. It is almost like an urgent rescue mission.

This is why I recalled a Bible study I had a couple of years ago. I happened upon a video of individuals, presumably Christians, waiting in a stadium hours before a prayer conference was scheduled to begin. I read some of the comments and found myself smiling.

Listen, these people are actively, deliberately, intentionally in hot pursuit of God's Mighty Hand on their lives. They are SEEKING the face of God and it isn't for you to understand. When you are seeking for something, people will never understand it.

The fight for our salvation is a personal fight. "So work out your own salvation with FEAR AND TREMBLING....."

But do you also know that because you have to keep asking, keep seeking and keep knocking, you are likely to ask more intensely the more you wait for the answer? Knock harder the more you wait for the door to open? And seek deeper the more you wait to find? There is more on knocking and asking but.....
