On the sidelines, H.E. Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Guatemala, signed the Agreement on the Mutual Exemption of Visa Requirements for Holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports.
On 3 July 2026, Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, co-chaired the 1st Meeting of the Thailand and Guatemala Political Consultations with H.E. Mrs. Mónica Bolaños Pérez, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Guatemala.
They also explored ways to further strengthen cooperation including trade and investment, education and academic cooperation, tourism, and cultural exchanges. In addition, the two sides exchanged views on key regional developments and ways to enhance the framework of the UNs.
Representatives from relevant govt. agencies exchanged views and discussed approaches to integrating their efforts in order to advance cooperation in the areas of politics and security, trade and investment, education, research and innovation.
On 17 June 2026, Director-General of the Department of American and South Pacific Affairs chaired an inter-agency meeting of Thai agencies to discuss ways to promote cooperation with Australia and New Zealand, two middle powers and important partners of Thailand.
Both sides discussed ways to further strengthen Thailand - Argentina relations, which have spanned over 71 years, with a view to continuing and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual potential, particularly in trade and investment.
🇹🇭🇦🇷 On 10 March 2026, Mrs. Hataya Khusakul, Director-General of the Department of American and South Pacific Affairs, had a discussion with H.E. Mr. Claudio Ricardo Gutiérrez, Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to Thailand, who paid a courtesy call upon assuming his duty.
