National Guidelines on Airborne Infection Control, 2026 launched under the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, aim to enhance TB prevention by integrating infection control in India's health systems and ensuring effective Hospital Infection Control Committees.

Under the 100-Day Campaign of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, an Ayushman Arogya Shivir was successfully held in Gollapudi, NTR district, Andhra Pradesh.
Smt. Punya Salila Srivastava, Secretary, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India, inaugurated the Shivir and reviewed the progress of the ongoing campaign. She was joined by Shri Saurabh Gaur, Principal Secretary (Health), Government of Andhra Pradesh, along with senior officials from both the Centre and the State.
The Shivir featured key public health interventions, including:
• Handheld X-ray screening for early TB detection
• Distribution of nutrition baskets to TB patients
• Interaction with TB Champions, PRI members, CHOs, and ANMs
• Review of flagship initiatives such as Anaemia Mukt Bharat and HPV vaccination
This initiative highlights strong Centre-State collaboration and reinforces India’s commitment to eliminating TB while strengthening grassroots healthcare delivery.
