Great analysis in @HornReview on US interests in Eritrea and likelihood of Isaias regime engaging. I fully agree that best U.S. policy is to plan on how to deal with a post Isaias Eritrea to include contacts with forces opposed to current regime like EBRF https://t.co/EYz4ZLYV2V
Ambassador Massinga visited AMG Holdings, one of Ethiopia’s leading diversified industrial groups, to learn more about its contributions to manufacturing, exports, and job creation. The visit highlighted opportunities for stronger U.S.-Ethiopia commercial partnerships and private-sector investment that support economic growth and industrial development. #USinEthiopia
Ambassador Massinga met with UNHCR High Commissioner Mr. Braham Salih at the launch of the Government of Ethiopia’s Makatet Roadmap on June 18. The Makatet Roadmap is a five-year framework designed to transition refugees from camp-based aid into national systems.
Supported by more than $140 million in U.S. foreign assistance since 2024, this Ethiopian-led initiative emphasizes self-reliance and access to livelihoods. By shifting the burden to local systems and fostering self-sufficiency, this framework reduces long-term dependency on U.S. taxpayer resources. Supporting regional stability helps prevent destabilizing mass migration, directly advancing U.S. national security interests and keeping America safer. #USinEthiopia

Expressed my sincere appreciation to all political parties that participated in the 7th Ethiopian National Election.I also extend my gratitude to the National Election Board for fulfilling the promises made to our people in conducting a fair, free and transparent election. I acknowledge and thank local and international observers for placing their trust on our democratic journey.
Going to see my family in Hungary for a month. At this time my heart goes out to those forced to flee their birth nations leaving family, friends, and culture behind-and who cannot go back to even visit those they love. May God give hope to refugees and bless who give refuge.
Comprehensive analysis in @TheAfricaReport on Egypt's and Eritrea's mutual interests regarding Ethiopia. But it's all about keeping Ethiopia down + victimization: Egypt over GERD and Eritrea over ports. Nothing much positive in relationship.

Reflection on Ethiopian election
The 7th General Election of Ethiopia was a landmark moment in the country’s democratic journey. More than 54 million Ethiopians took part in the election, with approximately 50,388 polling stations operating across the country and 42 political parties participating in the process.
The peaceful conduct of the election and the massive public turnout reflected the Ethiopian people’s strong commitment to shaping their future through democratic means. It demonstrated a growing belief that political differences can be resolved through dialogue, elections, and constitutional processes rather than violence. Beyond the electoral results, the election reinforced the foundations of democratization and sent a powerful message that lasting political change is best achieved through the will of the people expressed at the ballot box not bullet.
Uhuru Kenyatta: "I want to once again reiterate that today is a day that the people of #Ethiopia should be proud. Today is a day you should remember your history. A nation that stood against the wave of colonialism, united, and never colonized. Never forget that."
