“What most people don't seem to realize is that there is just as much money to be made out of the wreckage of a civilization as from the upbuilding of one."
The cooperation one can actually trust in this country is never the cooperation built on virtue. It is the cooperation built on dirt — which, unlike virtue, has never once failed to hold.
@HistoryBoomer Strawmanning. Those aren't interesting issues.
Is mRNA vax safe and effective?
Was Covid a lab leak and cover-up?
Was Russiagate an IA coup?
Is Trump covering for the Epstein class?
Did the US blowup Nordstream?
Did George Floyd die of an OD?
Among so many more interesting ??s
Following Lord Lindsey’s passing, Darline, Duchess of Charleston, ascended the High Chamber: crowned Baroness of the Palmetto Seat. Her brother's fiefdom and noble lineage are preserved. Long live the House of Graham and DEI! Aristocrats celebrate in Alexandria and Tel-Aviv.
Lots of problems with this analysis.
If oil rallies, you will point to China as the reason and you'll be correct.
If oil falls, you will point to Trump TACO and you'll be correct.
If Iran escalates, you're correct b/c its pain threshold breached. If it doesn't escalate you're correct b/c it's pain threshold wasn't breached.
In other words, there is no scenario where you won't claim to have been correct.
Your entire post conflates "what would force me back into longs" with "what the market requires in order to reprice". You're basically just stuck in your own head. Sorry, but it's the truth.
@MaxBlumenthal Oh, bugger off. You were out in full force w/ the Iranian hordes banging your drum like a monkey, Iran made a fool of you.
I hate this war too, but you took it way too far.
And no, the Iranians don't respect you either. They look at you as a rat, which is kind of what you are.
@PaulSpacey And Ronaldo isn't 'Ronaldo' because he's an amazing athlete. Nope. That was just a coincidence.
And Paul Spacey doesn't need makeup to be a clown. He just works harder at it than the rest of us.
@StefanMolyneux The GFC had nothing to do with companies originating NINJA loans and offloading them to others; nothing to do with fake insurance companies (AIG) who pretended to insure all that garbage. Nope. It was DEI.
God, this guy is a moron.
@RudyHavenstein I can't decide which is more bizarre: A person not realizing that 71 year-olds are susceptible to heart attacks or social media dude thinking he needs to educate people that 71 year-olds are susceptible to heart attacks.
@GavMcCracken@BarakRavid@axios Why does Iran play along? The best I can come up with is they want to string this war along in the hopes of an oil slingshot. If so, then why is the US playing into their hands?
Very strange...
I ask that everyone please show Brian Cole Jr. and his family your support by following and sharing their page - @FreeBrianCole - here on X. This is a two front war to bring him home: the DC District Court and the American Court of Public Opinion.
@AndreasSteno Guy calls Burry lazy and nothing but a one trick pony and offers nothing but "he's just a doom-monger" as evidence.
And then hedges by saying, that Burry "might be right."
What a clown.
@RnaudBertrand So what is this new marketing thing on X--where wide-eyed travelers, like Freddy in US for World Cup and this guy, Arnaud, going all Marco Polo in China?
"Oooh, so amazing!"
@RnaudBertrand Arnaud is the China version of that German, Freddy--who regaled us with his tales of wonder as he traversed America during the World Cup.
This is pathetic on so many levels. And I am against this stupid war & against Israel's treatment of Palestinians.
But if you're going to sell out your profession as a journo; if you're going to sell out your country, etc
At least do something cool. Banging on a drum like a little monkey? Again, just pathetic.
"Organizing." Organizing what? A rally? A spreadsheet? A coup? Doesn't matter, it's a noun now, it's safe.
"Legislation"--without telling us what he got passed. Very on brand: Socialism's biggest achievement is always in the passive voice.
"Representation" --representing who, doing what, resulting in what ?
Say "public life" instead of naming a single thing he did in it. Great trick. Works every time.
It's a remarkable rhetorical gift, really -- the ability to defend a man's record using four nouns so abstract they could describe a guy who does absolutely nothing, forcefully, for a living.
@jmrphy He wrote six paragraphs citing Bataille to explain why a girl with a chest tattoo of a raccoon smoking a cigarette won't return his texts. That's the piece. That's the whole piece. All of it to say "the hot ones scare me and I'm mad about it." Too funny.
