Dr. Phil actually makes a very good point regarding this SUPPOSED kidnapping.

normally become public because if you want your loved one back its more important than wanting them to be caught.

As a father of daughters, I have a genuine question about the Epstein situation that I cannot wrap my head around:

How does a parent allow their 14-year-old daughter to be ALONE with some wealthy businessman on his PRIVATE ISLAND?

This isn't hindsight talking - this is basic parenting 101. He wasn't a fashion consultant, talent agent, or anyone with legitimate business involving teenage girls. What parent hears "rich old guy wants to fly my 14-year-old to his private island" and thinks "sounds great, have fun sweetie!"?

Even BEFORE Weinstein exposed Hollywood's predatory underbelly, any parent should have massive red flags going off. Private island. Wealthy older man. Teenage girl. No legitimate business purpose. These aren't subtle warning signs - they're SIRENS.

The grooming, manipulation, and abuse are 100% on Epstein and his enablers. But somewhere in this equation, adults who were supposed to PROTECT these children failed catastrophically. Where was the parental oversight? Where were the questions? Where was the "absolutely not, you're not going anywhere near that situation"?

This isn't victim-blaming - the CHILDREN are blameless victims. I'm questioning how the SYSTEMS and ADULTS meant to protect them allowed this to happen repeatedly. We talk about predators grooming victims, but we don't talk enough about how predators groom PARENTS and communities to gain access.

As a parent, my job is to be the barrier between my children and danger. That means asking hard questions, trusting my instincts, and saying NO when something doesn't pass the smell test. "Rich guy wants to fly my teenage daughter to his private island" would fail that test SPECTACULARLY.

But what do I know? I'm just a father who thinks protecting children from predators should be our FIRST priority, not an afterthought.
