13 yrs ago, I wrote a story abt the plight of Afghan refugees, who were fleeing the Taliban, at the Int'l Commonwealth Writing Programme. Back then, I never imagined it would become relevant ever again. In solidarity with the Afghan people today https://t.co/oi7H88pUHq

A delegation of NHM Employees' Association met with Financial Commissioner HME Sh Atal Dulloo at Srinagar today to express gratitude to him for his personal intervention and efforts in getting approval for pay-hike proposal in favour of NHM employees.
@yasinc_ias@NHMJK5
NHMEA felicitates MD NHM, J&K, @yasinc_ias for successfully advocating and getting approval for pay raise to NHM employees. Hopeful for many more pro-employee milestones. Thank you, sir.
+ Hope and not misery. To respect women & poor & affluent alike & to bid goodbye to the hardest month that we saw as a whole.I'm going to leave this thread on a happy note that for every stupid person there is a NHM MD who rises to occasion and helps bring relief to poor patients
Sincere thanks to UT admin led by Sh @manojsinha_ and gratitude to Sh @AtalDulloo and Sh @yasinc_ias for tireless efforts in getting the approval. Thank you and wish you success in all future endeavours!
After months of hard negotiations, we finally got approval fr a long pending major salary hike of upto 17% fr ~11,000+ NHM employees. A token of encouragement fr our COVID warriors! @MoHFW_INDIA @diprjk @OfficeOfLGJandK https://t.co/vc3cZFdNL2
J&K has today received fresh consignment of Covishield vaccine. The immunisation drive in Jammu and Kashmir division to continue on a war footing from tomorrow, 19th May. The government has also ensured for a continuous supply of vaccine doses to meet requirements.
An analysis of COVID mortality in J&K UT between 15 Apr-12 May. A thread-
1- 93% of COVID +ve critical cases who died in this period were unvaccinated, 7% were partially vaccinated - Hence clearly establishing that vaccination hugely reduces chances of death. (1/3)
@yasinc_ias
NHM Staff of Jk are also Front line workers viz Doctors paramedics managers working tirelessly in covid wards Sampling contact tracing rrt need of the hour to release covid incentives in favour of them also as like regular counterparts 10000,7000,5000 @AtalDulloo@yasinc_ias
I met these covid warriors in Pulwama district hospital. They have been recruited under NHM since 2010 but shame they have not been paid their "meagre'' salary for last three months. Can @OfficeOfLGJandK@HealthMedicalE1 please do some walk the talk. Forget about the incentives.
