@SlowpokeKomaru "He is NOT a 'Rich Jerkface!'

Bite your tongue... If he heard you just now, he'd smite you! Smite you until you've been smoten!"

[Touko Fukawa 📗✂️ @AstigmaToki]

@SlowpokeKomaru

"Komaru! Would you stop leaving your stupid comic books laying around? I know they're literary garbage, that doesn't mean they have to be LITERAL GARBAGE."

[Touko Fukawa 📗✂️ @AstigmaToki]

@SlowpokeKomaru "..!!
*PPFBHHBB, pbgffft!*
Her glasses get all wet and she waves her hands wildly in the air!

"Pfghhgft!

K-KomarU WHAT THE HELL
YOU SAID IMAGINATION WAS GOOD!"

[Touko Fukawa 📗✂️ @AstigmaToki]

@SlowpokeKomaru "... mgh... eheh..."

She gets that... look again.

"I ss-spend a lot of time imagining..."

[Touko Fukawa 📗✂️ @AstigmaToki]

@SlowpokeKomaru "Urgh...

I was expecting a little more than that tired 'books take you on a magic bus ride to imagination land' line...

But I guess normal people need things to stimulate their imagination, too..."

[Touko Fukawa 📗✂️ @AstigmaToki]

@SlowpokeKomaru "Ugh!"

Fukawa holds her ears, wincing...

"My EYESIGHT is poor, not my hearing, Komaru!"

[Touko Fukawa 📗✂️ @AstigmaToki]

@DETECTIVEPRlNCE "That's not my name. That's her dumb pet name for me."

She retorts, nose stuck in her book. Offering no further explanation or clarification.

"....
I guess she worries about me."

[Touko Fukawa 📗✂️ @AstigmaToki]

@DETECTIVEPRlNCE 'YOU NEED SOME VITAMIN B, TOKIEEEEEE~'

THAT'S NOT EVEN THE RIGHT VITAMIN!

Urgh..!!"

[Touko Fukawa 📗✂️ @AstigmaToki]

@DETECTIVEPRlNCE "And wh-ww-what is that supposed to mean?

... Whatever... you're right. But it wasn't my idea to read outside. S-someone GOADED me into doing it, because 'THE SUUUN WILL DO YOU GOOOOD, TOKIEEEEEE~!'

The ragged girl puts on a mocking voice, waving her hand around.

@SlowpokeKomaru "I..

Wow. Okay, Komaru. Tell me what 'My Girlfriend is a Whatever' means to you. I want to know what deep, personal gratification comes from you reading it."

[Touko Fukawa 📗✂️ @AstigmaToki]

@DETECTIVEPRlNCE "No, nothing."

She huffs, lips pursed in a bitter sneer.

"... If you're gonna look at that stuff in public you shouldn't be surprised if people want to look at it."

[Touko Fukawa 📗✂️ @AstigmaToki]

@DETECTIVEPRlNCE This was her one social interaction for the month and it was a spectacular failure - as usual. She doesn't know why she expected anything else.

He could have at least had the decency to be looking over something /interesting./
...

Eyes dart back to her novel.

@SlowpokeKomaru "If by 'branch out' you mean 'read garbage' then no thanks!

Isekai is a fad. It's a fad! Nobody is going to be writing stories about being reincarnated as a refrigerator in a month's time."

[Touko Fukawa 📗✂️ @AstigmaToki]

@DETECTIVEPRlNCE " . . . "
... Well, if he was going to do this out in the open, then it's his own fault if someone spies on him. Right? His own carelessness is to blame.

She's not the most subtle person, but she tries to sneak a peek...

[Touko Fukawa 📗✂️ @AstigmaToki]

"Yes, I DO like my 'bookie-wook.'"

[Touko Fukawa 📗✂️ @AstigmaToki]

@DETECTIVEPRlNCE " . . . "

(who even researches in public. Who does that? You do that in an office. A gust of wind could blow those papers right out of your clumsy hands.)

" . . . "

(... god dammit, now I can't concentrate.)

[Touko Fukawa 📗✂️ @AstigmaToki]

@DETECTIVEPRlNCE "Yeah."

She huffs, looking back into her book. A copy of 'The World Stops for Me.'

"D-didn't think so."

[Touko Fukawa 📗✂️ @AstigmaToki]

@SlowpokeKomaru "On one of YOUR shelves?? One of your trash shelves for the comic book trash???

When I go to grab my copy of 'The World Stops for Me' I don't wanna grab 'I Can't Believe My Girlfriend Is This Cute Tennis Racquet!'"

[Touko Fukawa 📗✂️ @AstigmaToki]

@DETECTIVEPRlNCE "D-don't bother... there's nothing to see once you 'get out.'"

...

"I guess there wouldn't be a point in asking what you're investigating."
