@paul_janus76 @KorinaLMoss @cozymysteryclub I always planned to self-publish. I may look at traditional publishing in the future. I know publishing houses have specific material they think will sell, but some might be more open to these fantasy cozies than others. I do think there are plenty of readers out there for this.

@pattic456 @vickidelany #12DaysofCozies Writing can be solitary, so it's great to connect with others. When you find people who vibe with you, it's great! I think the main thing is being open to others' ideas. If you're open, then collaboration can fuel inspiration.

@cozymysteryclub Back when I tried writing full time, I was able to write a book in about two months and edit in about the same amount of time so about 4-6 months per book. But I've learned a lot since then and work full time, so I don't think I'll be writing at that kind of pace again.

@pattic456 #12DaysofCozies I think my favorite cozy elements are all those little extras that make a cozy...well, cozy. In general, I read books for the characters more than anything, and I like the characters in cozies, too.

@vickidelany #12DaysofCozies Yes, it's the nice characters that give always cause second thoughts when they are killed off in a series. You never like to see anything bad happen to really nice characters.

@pattic456 #12DaysofCozies I like to put the murder into the story as soon as possible, but I don't have a rule for how many chapters or pages in it has to be. It depends on the story. If the murder doesn't happen in the first chapter, I usually have smaller mysteries that lead up to it.
