Texas has introduced a bill (SB1029) to effectively BAN ALL GENDER AFFIRMING CARE COVERAGE FOR ALL AGES. If a Doctor or Insurance provides gender affirming care they could be sued for malpractice.

Re: the discourse around trans folks from 'the west' applying for asylum. Yes, it is correct that the asylum process of grueling. Probably more grueling than you can fathom. It's also true that folks coming from, say, the US are going to find it difficult.
