Movements don’t run on urgency alone—they run on care, community, and rest.
From June 30–July 4, Astraea is taking a pause. Because rest isn’t retreat—it’s strategy. We’ll be back July 7.

Queer joy is a radical act. When LGBTQI+ communities gather, we heal, resist, and reconnect.
We support activist-led convenings where strategies are shared, grief is held, and joy fuels resistance.
Support the power of queer joy.

Visibility is resistance.
In 1991, we boldly added "Lesbian" to our name — choosing visibility as an act of resistance and pride.
This #LesbianVisibilityDay, we fight for a future where we can all thrive. 💜

Today we recognize #TDOV. As anti-gender rhetoric becomes increasingly mainstream, we remind ourselves that trans lives are stronger than efforts to remove them from public life. Trans people exist and deserve respect, every day of the year.
Fighting for liberation is always an endurance test. Thankfully, our deep history in feminist organizing, progressive philanthropy and LGBQTI+ liberation has prepared us for times like this.
