The first of our new giant splash tubs has made it into an enclosure at McCleery Ranch! And the timing couldn't be better, as the temperatures rise and the wolves' focus their energy on keeping cool - whether in a tub, scratching off their shedding hair, or enjoying a shady tree
🐺 🐺 Ambassador wolves Caz and Blackstone come from the same litter! They share many similar traits, which can make it challenging to tell them apart. To help, here’s a handy cheat sheet highlighting their distinguishing characteristics. Can you tell who is who? 🤔
While enjoying a recent meal, American Red Wolf M2403 (Ghost) had a rather bold raven watching over his shoulder... ravens benefit greatly from wolves by gaining access to protein, but there is always risk in getting too close. We find occasional raven carcasses that are proof!
@MandyConnell Because I want to vote for the best person who can do the job regardless of D or R. Also, help block the worst person during the primary. If I pigon-hole to one side, I have less opportunities
@TheRabbitHole No different than getting yourself put on the FBI/CIA list just for checking out “The Catcher and the Rye” from the library back in the day
@BradPauquette Agreed! A study was done that had people who were feeling sad and/or lacking confidence that showed by simply changing the way you walked & how you held yourself upright, you could change those inner feelings into confidence & less anxiety. Forcing a real smile can help too
A wolf's paws are usually much larger than a dog's, even if that dog is the same weight as the wolf! See the image below for a comparison of two 80-pound canines - one domestic and one wild. 🐶 🐺
Our live cameras capture some pretty cool wolf behaviors! Enjoy this clip of ambassador wolf Rieka howling, which rallies the entire Exhibit Pack together in a chorus howl. 🐺 Watch live anytime on any of our four cameras at:⭐️https://t.co/M0IVzmtYEw
@Erin4Parents@ScottBottomsCO He didn’t want us unaffiliated to vote in the primary so he won’t get any votes from this household and if he wins, he still won’t get our votes
Humans cool down by sweating to regulate their body temperature, but wolves & other canids rely on panting! They take rapid, shallow breaths which accelerates evaporation from their tongues, noses & lungs to cool their bodies from the inside out!🧊
