Big move from $META today!
Starting today, Meta is selling paid subscriptions worldwide across Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. They also launched two new Meta AI plans: $7.99/month and $19.99/month.
That $19.99 price? Same as ChatGPT Plus. Same as Google's Gemini Advanced. That's not a coincidence, Meta is putting their AI directly next to OpenAI and $GOOGL on the shelf and saying "pick us."
Tonight isn’t just about $GOOGL or $TSLA.
It’s about whether Big Tech can justify the hundreds of billions being poured into AI infrastructure.
The market is about to get its first real answer this earnings season.

Everyone’s watching the chip bounce today. Zoom out a month and the tape’s been a rotation, not a rally. S&P basically flat (+0.6%) while the internals split hard: semis −5.4%, but healthcare +7.4%, energy +6.4%, financials +4.5%. Value and small-caps leading.
Chips carrying the open.
Nasdaq +0.9%, semis ($SOXX ) out front after Asia ripped overnight (KOSPI +3.6%, Nikkei +2.2%).
Taiwan June export orders +59.4% y/y, a 17th straight monthly gain, and $TSM reportedly lifting prices up to 10% in 2027 showing pricing power.
The 10Y is caught in a real tug-of-war. Softer June CPI and PPI pulled $TLT/10Y back to 4.52%, off last week's 5.62% high. But crude ripping flipped the inflation conversation.
Markets now price 55% odds of a Fed hike in September, up from 51% a day earlier.
