@TheMagPi I made a rather handy infra-red camera for checking how well the radiators are working - using the Pico, Pimoroni MLX90640 module and 1.3" waveshare display... Taken with a RPi HQ cam...
@Raspberry_Pi All my friends are leaving and this makes me sad. So I made Bye-Bye Bird. Connected to the Twitter API, it sheds a single tear when someone uses the #RIPTwitter hashtag.
I already had the fully assembled version with the engine but this one lacked a means to make it go. Then came Dave's 'Swampy' and the answer to the missing engine.
I now have two working boats. It's not as nippy but I'm rather happy with the way it works π thanks Dave!
Credit & thanks to @davejavupride for this one...
Built from an empty Graupner Hydrospeed hull that I was given back in '89ish which has sat on the shelf in need of an outboard engine mechanism... (cont'd...)
... and the always smiling courteous staff were particularly helpful in retrieving the cap of some wally who dropped it from 25m up (me...). If you're up that way and in need of an all-weather addreneline boost, I thoroughly recommend it!
Week two of our holiday up north took us to the wonderful Lake District where we took an opportunity to book the family into #GoApe#Grizedale for the Treetop Challenge! Fab place, serious fun, smiles all round and ... (Cont'd...) @GoApeTribe @VisitGrizedale
After a day of achieving far too little, I decided to do something positive by clearing out the workshop... I mean do I really need mice with balls and 9-pin serial connectors, 5 DVD drives with 40 pins, 18 3.5" HDDs, some also with 40 pins... recycling center here I come π...
As cute as this looks and feels as it's tiny claws grip my finger, I do wish these tiny creatures would stop flying into our windows leaving them dazed and confused and leaving me to save them from the local puddy-tat! Today a young #BlueTit, yesterday it was a young GreatTit

@TheMagPi ... and another thing... I've just figured out the simplest & easiest way to fix a Pi case to a wall using a couple of picture / mirror fixing plates. Why didn't I think of this years ago???
@TheMagPi This weekend I was mostly improving the Solar electricity monitor to use an RPICT3V1 from @LechacalTweet to monitor real-time voltage, current, power to see how much energy is being exported to the grid so we can hopefully do more to make use of the free energy from the panels.
@sweeter42 I'd hoped that my tweet was enough to kick Citroen into replying but i got nothing from them. Problem fixed after about Β£3-4k. Apparently it's common in citroen vans, less so in cars according to citroen garage but they know the fault well but don't want to accept that its a flaw
Just saying... think twice about buying a @Citroen C3 Picasso. (1/3)
We have a 66 plate motor < 40k miles... Used to be my mums after she bought it new. We inherited it after she sadly lost her battle with cancer.
After just 35k miles, the urea & Engine came on...
