New study in preprint. In this study we test if supernova-driven turbulence, a large component of the turbulence in our Galaxy, resembles classical Kolmogorov-style turbulence, as it is regularly assumed. It does not.

@PMocz Thanks! Stable streamline integration is a must if you want to advect long distances, but post-processing is what sells it. @astro_magnetism recommended high pass filtering and multiple passes of the LIC, which makes the final result so much better!
Did you wish for a fast and simple LIC code this Christmas? Well, look no further! I wrote one you can have for free, and a week early! Happy holidays! ππ

@juandiegosoler I've made a stand-alone repo, that way there are less dependencies involved. Have a look and let me know what you think!

@juandiegosoler Yep, applies a LIC over a domain size of 1000^2 cells, with a kernel length of 150 cells, in under half a second! What's nice, though, is the streamline advection is accurate, so large kernels are stable, and you can apply multiple passes to create higher contrast results
