A paid gatekeeper and gaslighter. Gas is the most its been since I moved to Texas in 2012. Beef is up 15-20% just in the past year alone. Products are smaller in size for the same price they were a year ago. This is some They Live kind of shit.

@TheChadWithrow The point is — every objective measure is better than it was in June of 2022. Gas is cheaper, inflation is much lower, the murder rate is much lower, lifespans have hit an all time high, almost no masks! All of the data is better. Yet consumer sentiment is worse. Explain it.

@ClayTravis @TheChadWithrow Sorry Clay, gas is not cheaper in Texas. It's the most I've paid for it since I arrived in 2012 and we're supposed to be a petroleum state. Inflation lower? How is that measurable? My Siete tortillas are the same price but a 1/4 of the size. Beef is up 15-20% this past year.

While researching for our upcoming podcast on the symbolism of magick, I revisited a well-worn copy of A Dictionary of Symbols (1958) by J.E. Cirlot. While doing so, I came across this famous illustration from Agrippa's Three Books of Occult Philosophy, often referred to as the Microcosmic Man. A simplified version of the same figure appears on the cover as well, nested within the “O” in “Symbols”. Given its themes of correspondence, cosmic order and the relationship between the macrocosm and microcosm, it felt like a fitting image for a discussion on magick.
