Reality is nobody cares about the tech (other than very few devs)
Crypto is all about ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ and ๐ญ๐จ๐ค๐๐ง๐จ๐ฆ๐ข๐๐ฌ, and Sui community or its tokenomics does not look great with daily trading volume of Sui NFTs being less than Solana NFTs floor price and no coded buy / burn pressure on $SUI while a lot of its supply is yet to be unlocked. ๐คท
Hopefully, weโll turn the ship ๐ข around with @DegenHive, which is going to bring a lot of buy pressure to $SUI and completely re-invent its DeFi ecosystem!
If DegenHive is able to 10x the $SUI price from here within the next few months, then who will be the real OGs of this ecosystem, we or @Mysten_Labs? ๐ค๐คท ๐ง
Sui has 10x better tech vs solana, but now we need 10x better community, so we get our 100x ๐งโโ๏ธ
Letโs do that with @DegenHive! ๐ฆง๐๐ง
I think possibilities with composability + hyperfinancialization (+ networkโs revenue split among users ๐จโ๐พ) are less understood,
With an on-chain social network youโre essentially decentralizing the database store (= Fb / twitter servers),
+ atomic composability across different app types (speculation x social) can drive new user experiences ๐ฎ
I have never shared my view on the $LUNA crash publicly before, so here it is! โฌ๏ธ
I was one of the core contributors to both @astroport_fi and @mars_protocol, 2 of the biggest protocols on @terra_money, so you can be sure the crash had a huge impact on me financially, with most of my dev effort going to waste with the crash!
I remember both $UST and $LUNA entered top 10 coins by market cap few days before the crash, and there was a lot of skeptism around LUNA <> UST burn / mint mechanism on twitter, which @stablekwon didn't answer properly imho.
I frankly was bit skeptical about how things were being handled, especially when Anchor's 20% APR had become unsustainable but was being topped up by TFL and nobody really actually understood the LUNA <> UST burn / mint mechanism with no proper research being publicly shared TFL on the same.
I used to manage liquidation bots for @mars_protocol. As the depeg started, i started getting msgs on tg from my liquidation bots on txs failing because of huge node congestion on the chain.
I quickly got to action, not sleeping all night and making sure liquidations go through so can recover whatever money i can as most of my funds were locked in Astroport and Mars Lockdrop (and the $ASTRO wars protocol launches ๐ )
I was able to recover decent capital from liquidations, which later allowed me to leave my job and start @AstroTechLabs, where we've been building @DegenHive on @SuiNetwork for more than a year now. (something i'm very excited about and will be sharing more info soon)
Before entering crypto, this whole space looked like full of spam projects to me (which imo is >50% true), and this crash taught me its better to build sustainable projects which are trying to solve real problems for users vs chasing quick-rich schemes, and NOT to trust projects which are mostly shilled by big VCs in the space but are not fully transparent in their underlying mechanics.
Post crash, i dug up all $LUNA <> $UST market swap txs and spent a lot of time trying to understand how the underlying mechanics worked (tweet attached). I am not sure if LUNA <> UST can ever be fixed (probably never) but i do think algorithmic stable-coins with similar burn <> mint mechanism can be made to work (with some AI model inputs provided via an oracle model), but its not worth pursing given the regulatory backlash which is expected in such a case.
The money i earned from liquidations felt like blood money to me, which i have fully used to fund @DegenHive development, which i hope will give some value back to the people who lost it all during the crash and make them believe in crypto again.

web3 is not the natural successor to web2, they are completely different in their propositions, goods and bads
nice individually, better together. the best apps will be ones who combine the best of both worlds

๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ Community involvement in governance is crucial but must not hinder progress or breed toxicity. A leaner, faster, and more effective approach is necessary to maintain democracy while streamlining non-contributing proposals helping @cosmos to compete and grow.
The #Cosmos governance has been a topic of hot debate lately. Is on-chain governance a democratic blessing or a curse that slows down development?
Letโs explore the pros and cons of #Cosmos governance and how we can improve it to fuel the ecosystem's growth! โฌ๏ธ

๐ฐ While discussions about funding are more relatable to the community, technical upgrades may not be easily understood. Giving everyone the right to vote on every decision could hinder important developments and may lead to toxic interactions.
