सर्दियों की सुबह थी। दिल्ली एयरपोर्ट की भीड़ अपने चरम पर थी। बिजनेस ट्रैवलर्स लैपटॉप लेकर भाग रहे थे। परिवार छुट्टियों पर जाने को तैयार थे और हर तरफ चकाचौंध थी। इसी भीड़ में एक बुजुर्ग व्यक्ति धीरे-धीरे चलते हुए एयरलाइंस के काउंटर तक पहुंचे। उनका पहनावा सादा था। सफेद कुर्ता पाजामा, ऊपर एक पुराना भूरे रंग का स्वेटर, और पैरों में फटी सी चप्पल। हाथ में एक प्लास्टिक कवर में रखी हुई प्रिंटेड टिकट थी। शायद कहीं से किसी ने निकाल कर दी हो।
