To go with the flow, to flow with God’s plan in one’s life doesn’t mean inaction from one’s side.
Imagine a river. Its natural state is to flow with the way the ground is. Over rocks, through narrow gaps, watering green meadows, becoming frozen over icy plains, and melting once again in warm weather. But it is always flowing. Now imagine someone builds a large wall and prevents the river from flowing. The river’s course faces an obstacle and its movement stops. This is what happens when life throws up situations which one doesn’t know how to handle. Initially, everything looks like it is coming to a standstill. But over time, that external wall starts crumbling because of the pressure of the water building up. Then with grace it finds the exact place to breakthrough. And the water finds a way to break the entire barrier. Now comes the interesting part. What normally people do when this happens is, they start doubting, thinking, hesitating. “What if I face a wall again? What if next time the wall is poisoned? What if my strength is not enough next time? How long will it take me to break another wall? How much effort? I am so tired.” And the mind goes on and on. So instead of doing the most natural thing which is becoming a large waterfall and gushing over the broken wall with full force and joy, one spends much more energy holding oneself back and not flowing. Imagine the river saying “I won’t flow anymore,” and then trying to hold its water back in midair and not let it flow over the broken wall and charting a new beautiful course on the other side. How strange would that situation look if you saw a river just hesitating in midair? This is what flowing with God’s plan means. You are working with your full divine potential and full force in every moment, but the outcome is left to Him. Whether a wall is needed in some place to change the course of action. Whether a well is needed to be filled in some other place. Whether a village has to be relieved of thirst in a third place. And finally, when where and how to meet the great ocean. The fact that the river in some way or another will always meet the ocean is a 100% reality. Whether by joining its waters to the waters of the ocean. Or, by evaporating over dry land and becoming rain clouds that meet the water vapor of the ocean in the air. Or, by feeding the endless beings which are also sustained by the ocean’s waters. One way or another, the river has to meet the ocean. That is a given fact. But how quickly the river surrenders to that fact, surrenders to the flow, and puts its full force into realizing its complete potential makes an enormous difference. By knowing itself as a part of the ocean always, the river can be in complete harmony no matter where life takes it or what life expects from it. Then there will be no doubt, no tiredness, no anger, and no sorrow. Only the flow of life, the flow of unconditional love which is in movement everywhere.

Sometimes the hardest thing in the world isn’t pain, it is keeping oneself open.
Open to the possibility of pain. Open to the possibility of anything taking place. Remaining open to God, to Guru. This complete openness is perceived by the mind as complete uncertainty, instability, and it is more excruciating than straight pain. Because you know how to deal with pain at least a little bit, there is something you can do about it to lessen the agony. But the possibility of pain is more scary. It is the great demon of the mind. This is what you have to win a complete victory over. The state of flux, of not knowing. Where any of the infinite possibilities can manifest or remain unmanifest. This is what the mind faces when it comes face to face with the SatGuru. It has to deal with complete uncertainty. But why do you go into fear? Into weakness? Into hiding and cowardice? Don’t you know from deep within that your atma is made of the same divine fabric as bhagavan, as the satguru? Don't you know that His only reality is love? Then why fear that love? Grow into it. Deepen into it. Become strong and rooted in it. Running away won’t do you any good. The only way out is through. Face the infinity of the SatGuru without fear but with complete humility, humour, love, and wisdom. It is very easy. Try it with joy and you will see.

Om Shanti. My mother left for Sri Hari’s eternal aboard this morning.
God accelerates the path for those who have built a loving relationship with Him. She is now fully at peace and always held within Bhagavan’s heart. A mother is the first teacher, the Pratham Guru, of every atma that comes into this world. She holds her baby in her heart and nurtures her dear child with her blood and every breath. The first sight a child sees upon entering this world is of its mother. The first loving touch is of her gentle hands. The love and importance of a mother in one’s life is beyond compare. And no one can take her place. Nobody else can become who she is or what she means to her child. This relationship of love between mother and child is forever unique. It is said that Bhagavan’s gaze and form is like that of the most loving mother. Matrasvarupinam. When the time comes for the atma to shed its physical form and bid farewell to this temporary world, this bond of love actually becomes even more precious. Because it doesn’t end, only changes. It doesn't reduce, it ever-increases in sweetness. When it’s time for one to return to Bhagavan fully, the atma rejoices deeply. Yet everyone feels this change deep within the heart. To connect through the heart without any veils, where the eyes are naturally raised to the Divine in prayer, silence, and reverence. In such a moment one can feel Bhagavan’s presence very strongly yet it aches within the heart. The pain is not of sorrow, but of deep and never-ending love. A love that transcends time, space, and all limitations. To reunite once again, always and forever, within the heart of Vitthala Giridhari.

On this day of the SatGuru’s appearance celebration, understand what truly is Guru Dakshina.
So often people talk about giving back. One learns the importance of sharing the best things one has. On the path, the SatGuru teaches everyone how to keep Bhagavan as the first priority always, then everyone and everything else, and lastly oneself. But very few people truly understand what Guru Dakshina is. After you have offered to the SatGuru everything you have, think, speak, and are, true Guru Dakshina starts from there. After all this has been given, whatever is leftover to give that is your true Guru Dakshina. It is your offering to the SatGuru that is free of any conditions, unbound by any shackles. That which has always been purely yours to choose to give and who to give it to. What is such a thing? It is your unconditional love, your atma itself. It is the spark of Him that He has given to you completely. With endless love and affection, He has made that piece of His Prem into you. And here on earth, it is through His presence that you have been able to recognize your atma and Him. In complete Dakshina to the highest SatGuru, you offer that very spark of love back to Him in every moment. This means you continuously offer everything. There is no more you left that has a will separate from His. Only He lives and drives your body, mind, and spirit. Your existence is offered to Him. You are there to love Him purely and freely. Everything else is His alone. This is the depth of Prem Anubhuti that the atma yearns for. But have you realized it? Have you realized what your atma longs for? It wants only to love Him and shine more and more brightly in His love. There is no time to waste. These days in which you have taken things for granted will end very soon. When the time has passed, what will you do? Celebrate, be grateful, love in every moment, you are always filled with the SatGuru’s grace and blessing. May everyone learn to walk the inner path deep into the heart towards the atma and Paramatma.
