Saw this and it captures my experience exactly ๐๐๐
โ๐THE FIRST TIME I SAW 300 LEVEL MBBS MCQs, I ALMOST CALLED MY PARENTS TO COME AND WITHDRAW ME ๐ญ๐
Nothing prepared me.
Secondary school taught me that MCQ means:
A, B, C or D.
Pick one and go home.
Medical school said,
โYou poor innocent childโฆโ ๐ญ๐
The first question I saw was:
A. Statements 1 and 2 are true.
B. Statements 1 and 3 are true.
C. Statements 2 and 4 are true.
D. All statements are true.
E. None of the above.
I looked at the paper.
The paper looked at me.
Both of us were confused. ๐ญ๐
Then another one came:
If statement I is true and statement II is the correct explanation, choose A.
If statement I is true but statement II is not the correct explanation, choose B.
If statement I is true and statement II is false, choose C.
If statement I is false and statement II is true, choose D.
If both are false, choose E.
Omoโฆ
At that point I wasnโt writing an exam anymore.
I was solving a family dispute. ๐ญ๐๐
I read it again.
Still didnโt understand.
I even turned the paper upside down as if the answer would fall out. ๐
Then came TRUE/FALSE questions.
The lecturer would write:
โThe liver is the largest internal organ.โ
I smiled.
โEasy. True.โ
Then I looked again.
It actually said:
โThe liver is the second largest internal organ in healthy adults under specific physiological conditions except otherwise stated.โ
๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐
Excuse me??
Who added all these subtitles??
Medical school doesnโt ask whether you know.
It asks whether you know the exact wording. ๐
Youโll see five options:
โ True
โ True but incomplete
โ False but almost true
โ True except in rare circumstances
โ All of the above except none of the below ๐ญ๐
By the third question your brain starts making notification sounds.
โLow battery: 5% remaining.โ ๐๐ญ
Then there is always that one friend.
After the exam you ask,
โGuy, how was it?โ
He says,
โIt was straightforward now.โ
Straightforward??
Brother, were we in the same hall?? ๐ญ๐
Another friend starts discussing answers loudly:
โFor number 17 the answer was obviously C because statement II explains statement I through negative feedback involving the hypothalamusโฆโ
Omo pleaseโฆ
Some of us are still trying to remember what course we just wrote. ๐ญ๐๐
The funniest part is changing your answer.
You shade A.
You think.
You erase.
You shade C.
You think again.
You shade E.
Five minutes later you return to A.
At the end, the answer key saysโฆ
B. ๐ญ๐๐
And donโt let the lecturer say after the exam,
โThe questions were simple. They only tested understanding.โ
Understanding??
Sir, the options alone were conducting viva on my destiny. ๐ญ๐
Then results come out.
You score 48%.
You celebrate like you won the lottery because your roommate scored 32%. ๐๐
That was when I realized that 300 level is not just about intelligence.
Itโs about surviving psychological warfare.
Because in medical school, sometimes the question is not asking what you know.
Itโs asking whether your brain can still function after reading the options. ๐ญ๐๐ฉบโ

@mohagirei@MDCNOfficial Good morning, Sir.
My friend and I have still not been paid, and this is now the 5th month of non-payment. When we visited the MDCN office here in Lagos, we were informed that the issue was related to the IPPIS system

Do you know that during dialysis, blood is removed from the body through the red tube, passed through the dialysis machine, and then reintroduced into the body system through the blue tube.
This process is repeated for four hours while the patient remains immobile in bed.
The procedure is carried out three times a week, which results in twelve times a month, and each time it takes four hours, which results in a total of forty-eight hours a month.
For those not affected, this process of flushing your kidneys occurs automatically 36 times every day with zero effort or discomfort.
While you are reading this, quit alcohol, quit processed foods, quit junky fries , quit unnecessary use of sugar and importantly hit the gym. All these are easier and cheaper options to keep your kidneys and liver fit.
Always be grateful for good health โค๏ธ
