Today (10/8) is the last day of registration period for Indonesian president and VP candidate. There are already two pairs of candidates, Jokowi-Ma’ruf and Prabowo-Sandiaga. The former have arrived at the General Election Commission (KPU), with the latter will be later today.

Today (8/8), former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak pleaded not guilty to three charges of money laundering. It’s reported that the total number of money he received for those three charges is as much as RM42 million. The trial date will be on Friday (10/8).

Today (7/8) @SpaceX has confirmed that Merah Putih satellite of Telkom has been successfully deployed to a geostationery transfer orbit. It’s reported that this satellite is able to cover communication network over South and Southeast Asia.

Yesterday (5/8), an earthquake struck Lombok Island of Indonesia. It’s reported today (6/8) that 98 people have died and 236 people are wounded. The rescuing operation is still going on but the tsunami warning has been lifted.

The General Election Commision (KPU) has closed the registration period for legislative candidates last night. As it stands, there are 8.401 candidates from 16 parties that will compete for 575 People’s Representative Council seats available in the 2019 general election.

Today (11/7) Rupiah drops to Rp14.380 from Rp14.367 on tuesday. Not only Rupiah, other currencies such as Japanese Yen and Korean Won also experienced similar drop. This global situation is caused by trade war that is currently happening between USA and China.

Today (10/7) the operation #ThaiCaveRescue is done! All the children, coach, divers, and doctors are now safely out of the cave. The last four children and the coach are rushed to the hospital to be given the best treatment.
