@buckrogersmd@mcuban X ray at ortho was included in $300 bill paid at office. Received bill for additional $19 a week later for miscellaneous
Shave biopsy was included in $300 bill paid at office. Received bill for office visit and shave biopsy $300. Will call office Monday but seems double charge
@HannahWardEdu@WonderFunBooks So glad to read someone else thinks it’s a parenting book. I’m a solid GenX and it gave me an understanding of my parents and grandparents and why I think snd parent the way I do. Excellent book
@Romy_Holland Ped told me my second child was a “high needs” baby at 4 months. Naive me thought it would pass. Then it became “high needs” toddler”. She’s almost 11. That temperament is baked in for life.
@FischerKing64@traderscrucible Agree. Today’s biweekly haul was $375 eggs, yogurt, fish, bread, cheese, berries, coffee, coconut water, toilet paper. The same items would have been $240ish 3 years ago.
Bulk Meat comes straight to freezer and veggies from local farmer. Gas was $4,49 a gallon today at Costco.
@SacredThreadsK@Katherine111594 When my kids were little ten years ago, moms would plan the summer camp schedule around multiple VBS programs to maximize their free childcare. I don’t think it’s coincidental that they are all either on the same week now or in the evening.
@BjjJoshD Not pessimistic at all. Maybe it works well for your family, hope so. What we’ve seen in our market outside Nashville has not been the dream come true escape. It’s been “oh damn, this is a lot of freaking work”
@christineyeargs They’re in camps all summer. Our neighborhood is full of elementary to middle school aged kids. It’s silent as a retirement community morning, noon and evening. Not a kid in sight.
@ThymeToBeBorn I recall this happening ten years ago when my oldest was little. Now most of the churches in our area had VBS on the same week or in the evening.
@realTanyaTay This makes sense as to why our hood that is full of families with young kids is completely silent morning, noon and evening. Feels like a retirement community.
Also, my teens piano lesson biz has tanked. Kids in camps ALL day long nearly every week
@RolandGunnTN Get out early right after sunrise and acclimate or it’s gonna feel like breathing with a bag over your head while running through hell by midday
@HippyMomPhD Yes!! Mine have made supper the last two nights.
Every summer they spend an hour or so each day for a week of the Life Skills Now online camp learning cooking, entrepreneurship, finance and wellness skills. Cool courses this week.
@theistinthought@SilentioDe48313 Yeah for my homeschooled kids it stinks. They would love having friends around during the day to ride bikes and play with instead they have “mom camp”. We ride bikes, play tennis, garden, play games, art, music etc. I sure enjoy it but it’s kinda sad for kids.
@SilentioDe48313@theistinthought Yep. Our hood is full of families with elementary kids and younger. It’s silent all summer. They’re in camps all day. My teen’s piano business has tanked bc kids at camp and can’t make it to lessons.
@MidwesternDoc@kacdnp91 Had a long convo with my parents today about statins and CV risk and the FNP insisting dad take the shots for cholesterol. Mom is scared and having cognitive decline and worried he will have an MI and she can’t take of him. Seems the FNP won the case
@emzanotti Are your kids doing the Life Skills Now camp (online)?
My kids completed about an hour total of courses yesterday (first aid tourniquet, compound interest, tools to use around the house etc. ) Short and informative and the register to win prizes-decent ones.
