Our #NativeOyster nurseries are swimming with life this month! An exciting find this week at #SunderlandMarina was an adult European eel. Amazing to see our nurseries attracting critically endangered species already after just 3 months in the water! 🌊🦪
A new paper has been published for SOSF project leader @TheSimsLab - looking at how climate-driven deoxygenation elevates fishing vulnerability for the blue #shark, the ocean's widest-ranging shark.
Today the UK's landmark #FisheriesAct becomes law and will shape how our seas are fished for years to come.
The legislation fails to address the more pressing issues facing UK seas, including overfishing. But there is still an opportunity for change in the years that follow.
