What are the key priorities that will help to advance the #biofilm field? Results of the Biofilm Priority Questions exercise (initiated by @ukbiofilms, @esgb_escmid, @SCELSE_SG, @BiofilmFirst) now online https://t.co/jbkNoMKLNb
It feels like I had lunch in Tromsø and went to Oslo for dinner yesterday, had breakfast in Stockholm and lunch in Copenhagen today, and then attended the in vivo biofilm models workshop today prior to the #EuroBioFilms2024 meeting.
It was great to host the 1st #NordicAMRConference in Tromsø last week! 😃
- Eight research centers 👩🔬👨🔬
- Cutting edge AMR research 💊🔬
- New connections established 🤝
Looking forward for the next meeting in 2026! 🇫🇮
Exploring the sea as a source of new antibiotics! 🌊 @AtaurRahman0302 presents the work done with modified compounds originally found in Arctic Bryozoan. In vitro & in vivo work looking into toxicity and antimicrobial activity using zebra fish models

And… it’s ON! Starting our first #NordicAMRConference, hosted by @cans_uit in beautiful Tromsø! Wide representation of 8 #AMR research centers, with a great array of topics to explore.
Let’s get up to speed on everything going on in 🇳🇴 🇸🇪 🇩🇰 🇫🇮 on #antibiotics & #resistance
I am profoundly grateful to my mentors, colleagues, evaluation committee and my family for the last 4 years. This journey was not just an academic pursuit, but a collaborative effort that has prepared me for the next chapter in my scientific career. #phdlife#UiTNorgesarktis

Finally. Toy-grade PCR machines that actually work. So tired of the pretentiousness surrounding thermocyclers. It's a hot-cold-hot machine. Trivial with modern materials. No reason it should ever be so expensive. Ever.
Thus one retails for $245.

It is nice to be back in Krakow for the 12th European Zebrafish Meeting. The first day starts with a toxicology workshop followed by zebrafish husbandry. Thanks, @eu_fish, for the grant to attend the meeting. #Zebrafish#EZM2023
Good to have @staphylomics (Dr. Tomasz Prajsnar) from Jagiellonian University at Tromsø. It was an incredible few days with zebrafish, visiting different facilities like the Zebrafish facility at UiT, Tromsø Aquaculture Research Station, food and roaming around.
