Life is funny sometimes 😭
I’ve been looking forward to Tech Cirvee Fest for almost 2 months.
Then a few days before the event, I fell sick and started panicking because I didn’t think I’d recover in time. I was even considering abusing energy drinks just to show up 😅
Then I checked their page today and saw the event had been postponed due to security concerns in Oyo State.
For the first time in my life, an event postponement made me happy 😂
Now I get to recover properly and attend at full strength.
Has something you thought was bad news ever worked out in your favor?
Hot take:
Most React beginners don’t struggle because React is hard.
They struggle because they skip JavaScript fundamentals and try to fix everything with another library.
Agree or disagree?
New month.
I’ve spent more months job hunting than I ever expected.
Some days it’s motivating.
Some days it’s exhausting.
But giving up has never really been an option.
Hoping this month brings good news for everyone still waiting for their breakthrough.
2am in Lagos.
8 tabs open.
LinkedIn.
Wellfound.
Greenhouse and few others
Month 9 of searching for an international remote frontend role.
The hardest part honestly isn’t the rejection.
It’s the silence after applying.
But I’m still here:
• still building
• still learning
• still applying
If you’ve also had nights like this where you’re awake job hunting, you’re not alone mehn 😤
Going on LinkedIn lately and seeing so many people pouring their hearts out about applying to 2,000–5,000 roles with little or no progress honestly broke my heart.
People are really going through it. Since becoming aware of the job market, I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever seen this level of struggle in the industry before.
The market feels overcrowded, exhausted, and deeply uncertain right now. How do we even begin to fix this?
@RuggedRyan_ Oh this is really a great news especially in these times when it all feels like no one is getting employed anymore or there’s a freeze on hiring.
This news gives me hope
If AI builds something that confuses you, then you’re bad at prompting which implies that you don’t have a full understanding of what you wanna build. Yes or Yes?
