Massive diplomatic failure for PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who is also the interior minister of Pakistan.

The PCB had today threatened to boycott the ongoing Lord’s Test after their repeated calls to not to air the SKY Sports interview with the sons of Imran Khan were not met.

Pakistan has, reportedly lodged a formal protest before the host broadcaster SKY after the interview conducted by former England captain Mike Atherton was aired.

The interview went on air during the lunch show and Atherton later revealed that why SKY went ahead with the interview despite PCB’s threat to boycott the match.
Later the Pakistan team did turn up for the post lunch session.

Pakistan threatened Lord’s Test boycott after broadcaster Sky Sports telecast interview with Imran Khan’s two sons which was actually recorded at the Lord’s Long Room a day before the Test. PCB wanted SKY not to air the interview during Lunch break else they wouldn’t take the field post Lunch.
The 18-min interview done by Michael Atherton (one of the 21 captains to sign the letter to Pak PM) was shown and Pak did take the field too
