@ypealvinegro@Trierarch81 Roman imperium and all autocracy makes the idea of a cosmic king extremely attractive
Thatโs why the kings in Scandinavia converted likewise
Easier to centralise power that way
Same thing happened in Lithuania likewise;
@Trierarch81 "gods king on earth" was a concept throughout christendoms heyday,
it's secularism that thought republics and democracy is good.
Not that i particularly like democracy, democracy is about popularity rather than merit
Autocracy about loyalty rather than merit.
Both are bad
@Trierarch81 so called monotheists (cosmic monarchists really) are also based on unmeritocratic principles,
Muslims and christians have always favoured autocratic governments which invariably lead to nepotism and malgovernance,
i cover it in my book series in book 3 Political paganism
@OrpheeDuNeoulf Axumites literally besieged Mecca during the year of the elephant + yet no accusation of female infanticide
Such an accusation could be chalked up to war propaganda, but they didn't even do that!!!
Ghassanids, Lakhmids were christians and had every reason to demonise the pagans
@ArchysLife Right, i debunk this myth in my book, none of the neighbours of the pagan arabs document this practice despite being quite hostile.
There's no archeology likewise.
Unlike say Carthage where we have both archeology and hostile witnesses to the event
@Athelosgodthegn@Yofosoh@PunishedAbammon โHe didnโt write the universes codeโ
Is arguably my point, at best he could be a viceroy of earth not a universal creator of everything
There are blatant limitations to him
@Yofosoh@PunishedAbammon true, the idea that Yahweh is the primordial source is slightly undercut by the fact that he has angel subordinates.
You can't be omnipotent omnipresent if you need (and demonstrate this need) of subordinates.
I document this in my book, among other things
@yollowhowlCPS@adhee1673 3rd point people miss is that that khalq being Pashtuns would squeeze the Pakistani ability to do cross border support
Especially as the war dragged on
Parchamites had to massively increase army spending to get A fraction of recruits
Khalqists had tribal kin and schoolteachers
@yollowhowlCPS@adhee1673 As general valentin Varennikov put it:
"We overthrew the faction that had the army, and we brought to power the faction that had the radio station."
๐คทโโ๏ธ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Kinda dumb and predictable you will lose said civil war
Plus the sino soviet split was extremely unhelpful
@AttikaBeniko@Xgamer40000@BlackbirdPagan It makes zero logical sense if you can do everything and be everywhere to have an army of interlopers
The cope counter is"our god can do everything but chooses to have subordinates"
what their god demonstrates is that it is a limited entity
nevermind what the apologist says
@AttikaBeniko@Xgamer40000@BlackbirdPagan gabriel is basically a relabelled Mercury/hermes
Islamic mercury also has qualities of War so Mars, but the christian version is literally just Mercury but an "angel"
Christian Michael apparently has qualities of Ares(mars) and Apollo
Christian Anael (haniel) is basically venus
@Xgamer40000@BlackbirdPagan and if they have freewill and can shape reality it makes zero sense to not venerate them.
in fact it makes more sense to venerate them over a distant primordial source who probably doesn't even know you exist
@Xgamer40000@BlackbirdPagan monotheist"angels"fundamentally betray the god is not all powerful and all present
You don't need subordinates if you can be everywhere and do everything, there is a lot of cope when i debate this topic, but that's the reality
but yes if gods exist, naturally they have freewill
