The passing of Asish Banerjee has left me deeply disturbed.
He spent much of his life teaching and serving society with dedication, always known for his humble nature and close bond with the people of Rampurhat and Birbhum.
What makes this tragedy even more painful is the immense mental and emotional strain he appears to have endured in his final days. As a five-term MLA, former Deputy Speaker and Chairman, Asish Da dedicated himself to bringing development to Rampurhat and undertook a large number of important works for the people. Yet, despite the work he did, he was repeatedly maligned, falsely accused and subjected to relentless pressure.
The harassment and mental pressure he faced, despite his long record of public service, should make all of us pause and reflect on the human cost of relentless political hostility.
My heartfelt prayers and condolences to his family, loved ones, former students and countless admirers.
His absence will be deeply felt, always.
Our supporter from Indas PS, Bankura district, West Bengal, Abdul Hafiz was beaten up by BJP goons for visiting nearby school as a part of #SchoolThikKaro campaign. His father was also brutally beaten up.
@WBPolice - Are you still Police of West Bengal or already migrated to becoming Police of @BJP4Bengal? Let us know through your actions, we will accordingly instruct the Cockroaches of Bengal.

Delhi Police has just brought in a totally damaged car and placed it outside the protest site at Jantar Mantar.
Why have you placed this car here @DelhiPolice? What do you intend to show with this car?
Everyone should remember this car has been brought here in this condition - important to record before they can blame it on peaceful protesters.
Democracy in India is happening right now! The Leader of India’s Opposition is being dragged by Narendra Modi’s cops away from a peaceful sit-in protest. Delhi is under siege by Modi’s police.
No! He was not just doing his job! We need to name, shame & ensure social boycotts for each of these brutes & take them to court. First is Sandeep Lamba . Mark him out, where he lives, what his record is. Can legal teams please start paperwork . Thks
I strongly condemn the treatment meted out to @RahulGandhi Ji, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha. In a parliamentary democracy, the Opposition is not an adversary of the State but an indispensable constitutional institution. Respect for constitutional offices cannot be selective, nor can accountability be met with intimidation.
The police atrocities on our youth in Delhi is unacceptable. Shame on the Union government. The All India Trinamool Congress fully supports the sit-down protest by the Opposition today near Akbar Road. Our full solidarity.
There were also police atrocities in Kolkata all through last night. BJP goons did all could they could to disrupt preparations for our Martyrs' Day programme. They arrived on motorcycle squads, destroyed signage, vandalised the stage and deliberately cut microphone wires. Many youth were threatened and injured by these goons.
Inspite of all this, our Martyrs' Day program today in Kolkata was very special, supported by our committed grassroots workers and people from across Bengal. We pledge to unitedly fight the atrocities and dictatorial attitude of the BJP.
We will take our fight from Bengal to India. United we stand.
Today's sea of people is a powerful reflection of the enduring faith and affection that the people of Bengal have for @MamataOfficial.
Through every challenge and against every adversity, the people have stood by us because we have always stood by them. Their trust inspires us, their support strengthens us, and their unwavering faith compels us to continue serving them with humility and resolve.

It was such a peaceful movement, feel so sad that it had to take a violent turn. My heart goes out to the students and their families who were hurt. Paper leak is a very serious issue, and I am glad to know n see that the kids of our country have come together for a better educational system, and their parents supported them.
I truly appreciate the stand they have taken, showing dedication, sincerity, and keenness to study hard n make their future and a greater, educated India. This andolan, this protest, is the right way to go abt it, n the students have done this peacefully. So courageous and brave. Driven and motivated towards education, this generation will make India proud.
This issue is between the students and the educational system, it should not be hijacked politically, the credit should only go to the students of our country, and I am sure the government will also give them all the support n make it a stronger educational system. It’s a win-win situation. Hoping n praying for a positive decision. God bless all of you who wanna be educated.
Education should be the next trend and fashion, and should get trendier n more fashionable yr by yr, itna k bahar se log come to India to study and India becomes an educational hub.

At around 10 PM, BJP goons attacked our rally stage despite the event being permitted by the Hon'ble Calcutta High Court.
This is what Suvendu Adhikari has reduced democracy in Bengal to. The police were nowhere to be seen. Every action is being documented.
That's called the "Spineless-governance". No parliament session could be more important than the protest against the corrupt government who is the threat to the society & students! The entire India will walk along with @CJP_for_India ! Yeh Kadam Nehi Rukenge!! @abhijeet_dipke
