I introduced a petition signed by over 600 Ontarians calling for better imaging, diagnosis, treatment, and aftercare for those living with craniocervical instability. Access to care shouldn’t depend on geography or finances.
@Rob4Ajax MPPRob & team worked with us to articulate this serious condition which is not adequately Dx, guided, and falls through cracks of our healthcare. Thank you Team!
@scott_scientist Not alone of course. Ex Lyme borrelia and MSIDS (or another pathogenic etiology- name many) which results in CCJ persistent misalignment. Once this becomes consistent, there is a driver. It becomes a vicious circle (as does the die off killing germ)
@scott_scientist Like persistent misalignment?.leading to craniocervical issues. Guess what? This is not solely a CCI/AAI issue but overlaps multiple patient groups including ME, FM, MSIDS/lyme and it is biomechanical! It is a driver....
@DafoeWhitney Honestly we are so honoured to be fighting for life alongside you. We don't forget the compilation you took forward for ALL patients. Your family and YOU. Thank you.
@scott_scientist@DiaryofaSickGrl Dr. MAXWELL's work which overlaps your message references the ENVTal triggers- mold, cyanos, BG algae blooms, toxins, wildfires. He links rhis to MCAS and CCI
@scott_scientist@DiaryofaSickGrl Agreed. We haven't tapped into regular mold testing (1st) and chemical/other exposures. I hear stories about plastics from clincians.
@scott_scientist@DiaryofaSickGrl Besides the fact that Many patientd report losing mobility post 2020. A coincidence ? Also tracked to reactivations of viruses and othe infections. So yes, many infectious etiology fall under pathogen. Dont see tests being run in the EDS community to dispel/confirm
@scott_scientist@DiaryofaSickGrl Pathogens, like lyme and co-infections are often accompanied by mold toxins. 75% of the time actually. Expert clincians, not me
@scott_scientist@julie_bush Absolutely yes - agreed that anatomical structural abnormalities impact CSF flow. The literature exists everywhere. The CCI community needs to work hard at this.
@scott_scientist@DiaryofaSickGrl EDS is a vulnerability for sure, especially particular types.
Other patients have other genetic vulnerability and they are also dieing. We overlap and not sure why that perspective cannot be seen.
@scott_scientist@DiaryofaSickGrl Have spoke to EDS patients who indicated their biomechanical issues improved after ST antibiotics. Sounds like infectious etiology- no?
