Commonwealth Games athlete, Lauren Evans was in action in the women’s high jump and 100m hurdles. In her first event of the day Evans finished in sixth place in the high jump with a height of 1.67m, whilst in the hurdles she also finished in sixth with a time of 14.05.

Loughborough international round-up

Rhiannon Hawker (Cardiff Athletics) finished in third in the women’s 800m with a time of  
2:05.68, just two tenths of a second off her personal best performance.

In the men’s javelin there was a win for Eurion John , second place for Jack and third place for Leon Gregson. Mark Davies came second with a seasons best in the U17W javelin.

There was another clean sweep in the triple jump with wins for Salem Mbimu-Kiambi, Anna Mckinty, Francesca Morgan and Sophia Grace Goulding.🧹

In the Long jump there were wins for Harri Owen Edwards ( SB), Francesca Morgan (PB), Grace Richardson and Sophia Grace Goulding. Lewis Barnes had a PB finishing second.

Leon had a PB in the pole vault jumping 2.85m

In the relays Cardiff Athletics had wins in 4x100 in the U17W,U17M, U20W and 4 x400m U20M, U17M. The U20M 4x100 and U20W 4x400 finished second.
In the field events saw wins for Leon Gregson, Megan Hastings ( SB) and Evie Woods.

here was a clean sweep in the 1500m steeplechase with wins for Iwan Froley (PB), Daniel May (PB), Rebecca Derrick (PB) and Neve Jones.🧹

Ella Mitchell ran a PB to finish second in the hurdles.

In the 3000m there were PB’s for Sam Boyce and Rhys Pladdy who won their races. Ben Hughes came home first with a seasons best in his race.

Millie Gold and Harry Turner came 1st in their 1500m races with a SB’s. Tomos Horn won his 1500m race. Harry Osborne came second in his 1500m race with a PB.

In the 800m there were wins for Alfie Osborne, Rhodri Amos, Jack Stewart and Anna-Rose Merchant. Max Davies came second in his 800m

Wins in the 300m for Anais Shepperd, Evie Wood and Maddison Gregory.
In the 400m there were wins for Millie Wood, Cian Harold (PB) and Jack Farrell.

In the 200m the sprinters did very well. There was wins for Grace Richardson, Emma Shepherd , Elana Murray ( PB), Millie Webb (PB), Joshua Humphreys, Lewis Barnes (SB) and Lewis Stephens (PB). Jose Alzate-Gonzalez came second with a PB time.

Cardiff athletes did extremely well in the 100m. There were wins and PB’s for Lewis Stephens (U17), Jose Alcate-Gonzalez (U17), Joshua Humphreys (U17), Kya Asiya Placide (U20), Elana Murray(U20), Jessica Mantle(U17) and Erin Belbin (U17)
Salem Mbimu-Kiambi was 2nd in the U20 100m

Jeremiah Azu (Cardiff AAC) was in action in the 100m, clocking a time of 10.20 seconds to finish seventh.🌟

Congrats to Ben Hillman (Cardiff AAC) was in action in the Senior Men Decathlon, his first time competing in the event. Hillman claimed the Welsh title with 5872 points and finished 16th in the England Championships.🌟
