Commonwealth Games athlete, Lauren Evans was in action in the women’s high jump and 100m hurdles. In her first event of the day Evans finished in sixth place in the high jump with a height of 1.67m, whilst in the hurdles she also finished in sixth with a time of 14.05.

Rhiannon Hawker (Cardiff Athletics) finished in third in the women’s 800m with a time of
2:05.68, just two tenths of a second off her personal best performance.
In the men’s javelin there was a win for Eurion John , second place for Jack and third place for Leon Gregson. Mark Davies came second with a seasons best in the U17W javelin.
In the Long jump there were wins for Harri Owen Edwards ( SB), Francesca Morgan (PB), Grace Richardson and Sophia Grace Goulding. Lewis Barnes had a PB finishing second.
In the relays Cardiff Athletics had wins in 4x100 in the U17W,U17M, U20W and 4 x400m U20M, U17M. The U20M 4x100 and U20W 4x400 finished second.
In the field events saw wins for Leon Gregson, Megan Hastings ( SB) and Evie Woods.
Millie Gold and Harry Turner came 1st in their 1500m races with a SB’s. Tomos Horn won his 1500m race. Harry Osborne came second in his 1500m race with a PB.
In the 200m the sprinters did very well. There was wins for Grace Richardson, Emma Shepherd , Elana Murray ( PB), Millie Webb (PB), Joshua Humphreys, Lewis Barnes (SB) and Lewis Stephens (PB). Jose Alzate-Gonzalez came second with a PB time.
Cardiff athletes did extremely well in the 100m. There were wins and PB’s for Lewis Stephens (U17), Jose Alcate-Gonzalez (U17), Joshua Humphreys (U17), Kya Asiya Placide (U20), Elana Murray(U20), Jessica Mantle(U17) and Erin Belbin (U17)
Salem Mbimu-Kiambi was 2nd in the U20 100m
Congrats to Ben Hillman (Cardiff AAC) was in action in the Senior Men Decathlon, his first time competing in the event. Hillman claimed the Welsh title with 5872 points and finished 16th in the England Championships.🌟
