Selling on Cashify? Be prepared for a much lower final price than what’s shown on the website.

My brother sold his OnePlus 9 5G on Cashify today, and the experience was extremely disappointing.

Website offer: ₹5,450
Reality: Final payout of ₹3,900

Here’s what happened:

An agent came home to inspect the phone. After checking it physically, he said everything was good. He then uploaded photos in his app, after which the app’s AI suddenly “detected dents.” The revised price immediately dropped to ₹4,500.

When we asked the agent to show the dents, he clearly said: “It’s AI detected, I can’t help.”

When questioned further, he made several phone calls (wasting around 20 minutes), pretending to escalate the issue. Eventually, the “dent” remark was removed from the app, but the price still stayed at ₹4,500.

Then things got even more confusing:

- He said he would pay only ₹2,000
- When asked why (since the app showed ₹4,500), he said:
“It’s company policy. We don’t pay the full amount shown. We also need to sell the phone again.”

After more calls and back-and-forth, he finally paid ₹3,900.

Key issues:

❌ Huge gap between website price and final payout
❌ AI-based deductions with no proof or transparency
❌ Agent unable (or unwilling) to explain deductions
❌ Arbitrary pricing justified as “company policy”

Conclusion:
What’s shown on the Cashify website does not reflect what you’ll actually get paid. Expect 15–30% lower value, unclear deductions, and a frustrating experience with zero transparency.

If you’re planning to sell your phone on Cashify, be prepared for last-minute price drops and don’t trust the initial quote.
