On Wednesday June 3rd, Atkinson Academy’s fifth-grade students proudly hosted the 11th Annual Cardboard Arcade!
Second graders at Atkinson Academy have been learning all about Erosion in Science. They each chose a National Park to research that was made by erosion and created a brochure in Canva encouraging visitors to their park.

Atkinson Academy Grade 5 students from Ms. Nimetz's Grade 5 Classroom, along with Principal Harrises, begin the tradition of ringing the bell in the 1803 building.
At Atkinson Academy, the Grade 4 Wax Museum took place on Thursday, February 19. Our fourth graders were excited to participate and proudly showcased the tremendous effort they put into their informational research and presentations.
Atkinson Academy has introduced a brand-new after-school opportunity for our students: the Atkinson Bears Junior Dance Team. This exciting club is led by two members of the Timberlane Dance Teams who are eager to share their love of dance with students!
Southern Rockingham Coalition for Healthy Youth and TRHS students delivered a presentation, Gizmo's Pawesome Guide to Mental Health, to 2nd and 3rd grade students at Atkinson Academy. Jackson, the beloved therapy dog, had fun visiting students at the end of the presentation!
On February 5th, Atkinson Academy 5th grade students participated in watching a nationwide 'Kickoff to Kindness' presentation. The presentation featured NFL and student stories of kindness.

Last week, we celebrated National School Counseling Week and our School Counselor, Mrs. Woodworth! We extend our gratitude to Mrs. Woodworth and the impact she makes every day! Thank you, Mrs. Woodworth!
We are proud to support a local nonprofit, Diane’s Library, an affiliate of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Through donations, Diane’s Library provides one free book each month to children from birth to age five and is working to expand this statewide in New Hampshire.
1st Grade Moon Night was a magical evening filled with awe and excitement as students and their families gathered to observe the moon and planets together. Children were amazed as they looked through telescopes, many experiencing celestial views for the very first time.
Atkinson Academy fourth grade just completed a unit on the human body, vision and the brain. This unit was combined with our language arts unit. We focused on new vocabulary with fluency and comprehension work along with the science.
1st graders are becoming moon watchers! With curious eyes, students are working on moon journal observations, carefully tracking how the moon changes over time through illustrations and notes, using their senses to describe what they see and notice. So much curiosity and wonder!
The Brain Scientists of Atkinson Academy 4th grade have been hard at work learning about the Human Body, Vision, and the Brain as part of an integrated unit. They learned about how different parts of our bodies work together as a system to interact with our environment.
At Atkinson Academy, Mrs. Butts' First Graders enjoyed having a visit from Mrs. Shawley's Third Graders, who earned the opportunity to read books aloud to a classroom.
