F1 isn't just a race of cars. It’s a race of data. 📊
The fastest way forward? Knowing where you’ve been.

"You don't want a fleet of interns who have to relearn everything all the time."
Atlassian ($TEAM) Co-Founder and CEO @mcannonbrookes argues that making agents work is not a tech problem:
"You don't want to answer 400 questions from your agents."
"When you have a new employee, you say, 'Hey, come to me a bit more often just to check with me so I can tell you're on the right path."
"As I get comfortable and I understand that, you know, the context of the company, I will let you do more things by yourselves,' right?"
"I think that'll be the same with agents."
"It's much, much more valuable to tell you, 'Look, we think there's a 70% chance it's this, there's a 40% chance it's this, and there's a 30% chance it's this.' We clearly label those as hypotheses, not answers."
"It's very useful for then the human to add their own context on top and say, 'Oh, it's definitely the middle one...'"
"These are all experiential, right? They're not technological..."
@Andrew_boyagi Using AI because you have to ≠ getting value from it.
Developers do their best work when they get a clear strategy and the right tools, not a usage quota.
Nice unpacking of the 2026 State of DevEx findings, @Andrew_boyagi 🙌
"Performative AI" is the new technical debt.
Developers are being incentivized to use AI, while engineering leaders worry it’s just to look productive. Measuring the tool instead of the outcome creates a friction loop that speed alone can't fix.

80% of product teams are releasing products faster thanks to AI, but customers are not seeing value any sooner.🚦
This comes from Atlassian's new State of Product 2027 report, which surveyed 1,000 product professionals in the US, Germany, and France. It also matches what I heard at Team26 Europe this week: the bottleneck has shifted.
Here are three numbers that stood out to me:
🔹 69% say decision making has not become faster, even with AI.
🔹 77% say that executive gut instinct sometimes overrides data-driven product decisions.
🔹 82% report that teammates often pass along low-effort AI work that others need to fix, and about half spend time keeping AI agents on track.
On the positive side, 99% of teams have fully integrated AI into at least one workflow, and 53% now have more time to focus on strategy and roadmap planning.
Here is what I take away for the teams I work with:
1️⃣ Speed is no longer the main challenge. Deciding what to build is now the real issue.
2️⃣ Decisions need clear, accessible evidence. Only 4% can trace every roadmap decision back to customer feedback. When feedback is scattered across tools, it creates a context problem, not an AI problem.
3️⃣ Messy work is a governance issue. Make AI contributions visible by tagging AI-created content and listing agents as contributors, rather than ignoring their involvement.
This third point is where the keynote's multiplayer AI story connects with real-world experience.
Where is the bottleneck in your team right now: shipping, deciding, or reviewing?
