Two people. One big idea. And a world of opportunity.
When @TrustStamp participated in the Metro Export Challenge, the company was a two-person operation working out of @ATLTechVillage. Grant funding helped the team get in the room with international prospects, connections that went on to become partners, customers, and investors.
Today, TrustStamp has grown to 90 people globally.
It’s a powerful example of what can happen when Metro Atlanta companies get the opportunity to compete internationally: new relationships open new markets, businesses grow, and that growth creates opportunity here at home.
That’s the impact of the Metro Export Challenge.
Small businesses go global. Growth comes home.
A decade of helping Atlanta businesses go global. 🌎
For 10 years, the Metro Export Challenge has helped metro Atlanta companies expand into new markets and reach customers around the world.
What started in 2016 with a $210,000 investment from JPMorganChase has grown into a regional program that has supported 150+ companies and is on track to surpass $1 million in funding awarded this year.
This week, we’re highlighting six of those success stories.
Follow along as we look at where the Metro Export Challenge has helped to take metro Atlanta companies over the past decade.
Georgia’s forests? They’re helping to fuel the future. ⛽
At the launch of the Georgia Sustainable Aviation Fuel Coalition, Katie Kirkpatrick, Cynthia Gibson Curry, and Leanna Brown of the Metro Atlanta Chamber, and Charlotte Lollar of @Delta Air Lines, explain what this new industry means to not just metro Atlanta, but Georgia as a whole.
The coalition connects metro Atlanta’s growing demand for sustainable fuel with the resources of the rural parts of our state, where fuel can be produced from residue left over from Georgia’s forests.
This new opportunity provides the potential to create jobs, open new markets and connect communities across the state around an industry with global demand.
The Keep Georgia Forested Act, HB 134, makes this new market opportunity to bring investment and quality jobs possible. We’re thrilled to be a part of the Georgia SAF Coalition! 🌲✈️
A new market is taking flight in Georgia. ✈️
On Wednesday, the Georgia Sustainable Aviation Fuel Coalition officially launched at the Delta Flight Museum, bringing together leaders from across the state to build a new biofuels industry.
The opportunity is uniquely Georgia: major demand from @Delta, @ATLAirport and other transportation leaders, paired with a sustainable fuel source made from residue from Georgia’s forests.
The coalition brings together partners like @Delta, @GaFarmBureau, @GeorgiaForestry, @Boeing, @CoxEnterprises, @nscorp, RYAM, and @GulfstreamAero representing aviation, agriculture, forestry, transportation and business.
Together with research and education partners @GeorgiaTech, @ga_res_alliance, @GeorgiaSouthern, @UniversityofGA, and the @TCSG, this coalition is helping create a new industry that can strengthen Georgia’s economy, create opportunities across rural communities, and support the state’s growing demand for sustainable fuel.
Additional community partners are @CleanCitiesGA, @GAagribusiness, @georgia_mfg, and the @NFIB.
From Georgia’s forests to the world’s busiest airport, this is what happens when Georgia’s urban and rural economies work together.
