@RolandOrzabal_ Your music is a thread that is woven into the culture of our lives, and our journeys too. Once you shared your songs, your stories with us, you were never going to be alone for the rest of your life.
@rity_ritychad@vrsh59khzv@mtata81uMxhosa@ESPNAfrica They will claim they’re a British person because they have a British passport and born England but supporting a non English team, saying that is their country. To the ethnically English people with a 1000 years of heritage on these islands, they’re not British understand?
@RolandOrzabal_ I started high school in South Gloucestershire in 77. At that time pop culture seemed to change every new term. New wave had a longer and broader impact, but it evolved from punk, so it wouldn’t have existed without. Grunge was a punk response to hair metal. Punk is the source
@RolandOrzabal_ Snarky Puppy are awesome. They have great tunes and engaging arrangements. Albums are often recorded live. You can watch the actual recordings on YouTube. They have an innovative collaborative approach. A core member is Bill Lawrence who is a brilliant British pianist and writer
@RolandOrzabal_ This album is one of the greatest progressive pop albums ever. Blending jazz and rock fusion with Beatlesque pop sensibility. The meticulous production is stunning. I’ve been listening to this for 30 years and I still hear something new every time. A masterpiece in every sense
@MonstersOfRock I was meeting up with friends under the Dunlop bridge just before GnR and saw the surge forward when they came on. It was crazy. The tragedy wasn’t announced to the crowd until after the fireworks. A very somber walk back to the car park for everyone
@Awaydays23 Times Square is shithole. It’s full of beggars and scammers, it stinks of burnt street food mixed with smell of weed that pervades everything. This scene is not surprising
@RolandOrzabal_ I’m Bristol born and bred so I’ve been a fan from the beginning. Sowing the Seeds of Love is an album I still listen to from start to finish regularly
@RolandOrzabal_ He had just got first proper stereo at home, and this was the first album he bought for it. I remember the wrap around panoramic photo on the 3 panel gatefold sleeve.
