[Data study] It looks like @claudeai is gaining real traction in B2B information search.
6โ12 months ago, it was mostly associated with task execution.
Search functionality was largely dominated by @ChatGPTapp and @perplexity_ai.
Thatโs starting to shift, at least in B2B.
Click data from @OmniusSo, tracked in our analytics tool called Atomic AGI, suggests that.
- +76.2% QoQ growth
- Second-largest AI traffic source with 21%+ share
- Highest engagement across all LLMs (avg. session: 3:27)
Whatโs more interesting is whatโs happening inside the models themselves.
Across our dataset of 11,000+ domains,
Claude frequently assigns 10โ20 percentage points more visibility than ChatGPT to individual websites, with some gaps exceeding 40 points.
- Single domains often get 5โ15%+ visibility in Claude while sitting at 0% in ChatGPT.
- ChatGPT keeps most domains in the 0โ10% range, while Claude pushes many of those same domains into the 10โ50% range.
When compared to other engines, Gemini and Perplexity behave much closer to ChatGPT than to Claude.
- Gemini usually stays within a ยฑ5 percentage point range of ChatGPT.
- Perplexity is slightly broader, but still typically 5โ10 points below Claude.
Both maintain relatively tight distributions, similar to ChatGPT. Claude is the only engine in the dataset that consistently breaks this pattern.
It assigns higher visibility scores, includes more domains with meaningful share (5%+), and distributes visibility across a wider set of sources.
This isnโt just a ranking difference.
ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity concentrate visibility within a tight range and rely on a smaller set of larger websites.
Claude expands both the range and the pool of domains. Given Claudeโs growth, this creates a clear SEO/AEO opportunity.

Backlinks still matter.
But co-citation patterns are quietly becoming the stronger signal in AI retrieval.
If you repeatedly show up next to:
โข canonical sources
โข high-trust entities
โข consistent topic clusters
You start getting pulled into answers by default.
Itโs not about โbeing the best pageโ
Itโs about being part of the trusted set
Weโve been mapping those relationships in Atomic AGI and itโs a very different view of authority.
[Update] @claudeai prompt tracking is now live.
If you've been analyzing your data in Atomic recently, you've probably seen Claude trending up on Clicks.

Same prompt, three engines:
ChatGPT โ cites vendors
Perplexity โ cites aggregators
Gemini โ leans toward publishers
Now tweak the prompt slightly and everything reshuffles.
If youโre tracking a handful of prompts per keyword, youโre looking at noise.
You need distribution-level visibility across models.
Thatโs basically the only way this data starts to make sense (and why we built it into @AtomicAGI)
Most teams are still optimizing only at the page level.
LLMs donโt.
They retrieve:
โข specific passages
โข tied to entities
โข reinforced by surrounding co-citations
Weโre seeing โaverageโ pages outperform category leaders just because their retrieval units are cleaner.
If youโre not analyzing which chunks actually get cited, youโre guessing.
Thatโs been one of the more useful layers weโve been pulling inside Atomic AGI
Here's exactly how to track LLM citations compared to competitors:
