Now, as Godzilla poked his skull above the water for the first time, it felt like he had a cloud beneath him.
And, as Godzilla fully resurfaced for the first time in six months, there was only one appropriate way to announce his arrival.
“SKREEEEEEOOOOOOOONNNKKKKKK!!!”

The pressure began to change long before the surface came into view.
Down below, the weight of the Pacific had pressed snugly against every inch of him, constantly and steadily. It was comfortable, even. Nature’s weighted blanket.
The fishermen aren’t there much longer after he spotted them.
Something massive, spiky sliced through the ship, almost a perfect half effortlessly cut through the boat as the titan moved beneath them.
It only became apparent as they hit the water of what they were seeing.
The Pacific Ocean was… insultingly quiet this morning.
A group of fishermen were sitting in their boat, playing a game of cards in the cabin as the day rolled by.
About 5 miles off the shore of Johnston Atoll, they weren’t expecting anything to come and ruin their day.
One of the men glanced over the side of the boat during the panic.
The water below had gone dark. Not the normal blue and black of deep water. This had shape to it.
Then it moved.
There was something colossal moving beneath the boat.
The vibration came again.
…it’s louder this time.
One of the monitors came alive as the waveform moved across the screen.
Somewhere beneath thousands of feet of water, something had made that sound.
…
The pressure readings changed again.
Whatever it was, it was rising.
A DART station would be the first to pick him up. ‘Unusual pressure displacement detected in the Central Pacific.’ It would transmit, normally a warning of a tsunami. Additional monitoring stations would follow soon after, the anomalous event piquing curiosity in scientists.
According to the patterns, it was traveling in a direction. Slowly, steadily.
Eventually, the signal was isolated.
A low, guttural vibration rolled through the speakers.
Nobody in the room said anything.
It was a pleasant spot, really. A cavern deep within the Pacific Ocean, untouched by humanity for the longest time that he’d come and go from for some R&R.
…truthfully? Nobody actually did touch it, Godzilla’s senses simply grew more aware of events happening around the globe.
Godzilla was heavily considering going back to sleep again. Unfortunately, humanity has a tendency of being extraordinarily loud and annoying specifically when he wants to.
He’d rise from his resting place, a loud (and angry) ‘SKREEEEEEONNNKKKK’ booming as the king returns.
* Feeling her squirm on the top of his head, he’d hold his head up higher to make sure she doesn’t get wet. After his excellent customer service skills were put on display, he’d continue swimming along the shoreline.
Okay, what are tou doing now . . .
*She spoke with a subtle desperation tone on her, not really liking the open waters. Her electrics spiked lightly as Zilla stepped in.
Her eyes noticed his signals, so she calmed down*
Dont you go diving on me now.
* Godzilla continues walking, eventually reaching the shoreline as he begins to stomp into the water. Before she can freak out, he flashes his dorsals again to signal ‘It’s okay!’
* Godzilla enters the the water, keeping his head just above the water so she isn’t touching it.
*Neon was overwhelmed by the views, once she had the chance to take a deep breath and look around, ensuring the creature wasnt unpleased by her.
So she crouched, and layed one hand as a support on his forehead, while he walked*
I feel like IM ON TOP OF THE WORLD!!
* Godzilla would feel her running up his back, stopping on his head. He’d look up at her, obviously confused as to why exactly she wanted to this… but she’s not attacking him, so he’s not complaining.
* He begins walking, every step rumbling the ground beneath him.
*On her run slightly upwards towards his neck, she barely avoided those spinal scales that suddenly lit up.
Her steps would still be lightly charged to stick her on his scales. Maybe he would feel a tingle out of every step she took until she was on top of his head*
