@M4R3H4LL@athiestboi Except they do. They worship the fact there is no god. Thats why they have to screech about removing religion in everything they think its offensive to insinuate that there is a god.
Thats why sounds pretty religious to me. Just not in the way you want to think.
@Cobblestone8og@athiestboi Im sure being abused by your mother or sisters would make males more attractive to you since your interactions with women would be more negative. And what if the trauma is more of a certain type? Sexual abuse can alter the brain of a child.
@Cobblestone8og@athiestboi It doesn’t do any harm to take them down either. If they aren’t there in the first place what is the child going to think? Not having flags or symbols in an area doesn’t evaporate the entire movement. But putting more questions in a kids head about their sexuality and gender is
@Cobblestone8og@athiestboi Is that by being gay or external forces IE. Trauma, life experiences, or early exposure to LGBT issues when they are young? The brain is forming up until 25 there are a billion factors that come into account, isn’t there a large connection to childhood trauma and homosexuality?
@Cobblestone8og@athiestboi They give kids the prospect of looking into it. And some kids will ignore the red flags of their “friends” trying to do something to them out of fear of losing them. This gets worse as a kid goes through puberty and school life. Muddying the waters only serves to make it worse.
@Cobblestone8og@athiestboi I don’t believe its biological imo, but thats besides the point. And im not saying get rid of them. Adults can engage with it all they want. I don’t want *kids* engaging with it in such a crucial time of their lives. There is too much room to do harm than good in my book.
@Cobblestone8og@athiestboi Peer pressure is often used as a tool to get something from someone, introducing kids to it will only serve to hurt more kids especially if they are just thrown into the community, would you throw a kid in the middle of Chicago and expect him to make the right choice?
@Cobblestone8og@athiestboi I want them to separate themselves from the children. Let the kids grow up. Let them figure out their lives before introducing LGBT communities, introducing this stuff during one of their most confusing times of their lives will only hurt them in the long run.
@Cobblestone8og@athiestboi Except they do, being introduced into a community can expose you into peer pressure from the group. You will want to fit in to be liked. Every human is susceptible to it. especially kids going through puberty. The most confusing time of your life,
@Cobblestone8og@athiestboi Its not easy i understand. But there needs to be a separation of homosexuality from LGBT because gay = ok is not the primary goal anymore. Heterophobia is very real in that community and i have been shamed for being straight and cis before. And i have seen a shocking rise of it.
@Cobblestone8og@athiestboi I wasn’t referring to you as the example i apologize if that came across that way,
But again, if you need constant affirmation to know who you are then thats clearly underlying issues a flag wont solve.
It more serves just to add confusion to a kids already confusing life.
@Cobblestone8og@athiestboi And somehow LGBT symbolism in classes will solve that? I don’t believe that, everyone is uncomfortable with themselves i didn’t need a community of people to know who i am. i choose who i want to be and no one can change that. I didn’t need schooling or a community.
@Cobblestone8og@athiestboi I respectfully don’t believe that. If you need constant affirmation from a symbol you need actual therapy not a flag in your schools. Nobody should shame you for your sexuality. BUT nobody should be broadcasting it unless its private. Teaching homosexuality in school is fine.
@Cobblestone8og@athiestboi Im not saying your *sexuality* is a kink. Im saying broadcasting it to everyone non-consensually IS a kink. Nobody cares that you want to fuck dudes, if you stopped screaming about it then 99% of modern issues would disappear overnight.
@Cobblestone8og@athiestboi And all this can be taught without introducing kids to a community that is a horrid place to be in thats full of people who are genuinely mentally ill ruining it for everyone else. I have multiple transgender friends that HATE LGBT because of how they make trans people look.
