News Update: Emir of Ilorin Appoints Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam Fulani as Chief Imam of Ilorin

His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, has officially appointed Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam Fulani as the Chief Imam Fulani of Ilorin Emirate.

The appointment follows a rigorous selection process in which Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam Fulani emerged victorious among several distinguished scholars vying for this prestigious spiritual leadership position.

About the New Chief Imam

Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki, aged 42, is a grandson of the 8th Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Ibrahim Dasuki Imam Fulani Agaka, and the son of the blood brother of the 10th Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Maliki bn Dasuki Agaka.

Prior to his appointment, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir was the founder and proprietor of Darul Bisharah Arabic and Islamic Studies, Airport Egbejila, Ilorin. He also served as the Imam leading daily and weekly Jumu'ah prayers at Afsat Oloriegbe Memorial Mosque, Oko Olowo, Ilorin. Additionally, he is a presenter of the Al-Bisharah Islamic Foundation radio program on Radio Kwara during Ramadan and teaches at Darul Kitab College of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Gaa Akanbi, Ilorin.

I think my landlord is a confused person.

Last year, he sold the land beside our main compound to someone for about ₦7m. A few months later, the buyer blocked the only fast route we use through the backyard.

It was painful, but everyone in the compound had to start using the main road, which is a bit far.

Now, not even up to 7 months later, he has bought back the same land for ₦12m. I keep wondering if he doesn’t have anyone advising him well.

So why sell the land in the first place? Or maybe he doesn’t even know what he wants to use money for in life anymore?

I developed a habit last month and I won't stop. Anytime I want to withdraw money at a POS stand, instead of calling out the name on the account directly for confirmation, I do something different. If the person is female, I add "Iya afin" to her name and if he is male, I add "Daddy" to his name
