Feeling super inspired after hearing @DrKChilds speak at @CAMathCouncil north conference at Asilomar this past weekend! So Amazing! He has got my thinking wheels turning! Thank you for the inspiration and the 'food' for action, bravery and thought!
@NatBanting@CeramicOwlbear Also, data science is an area that is not taught enough, especially in elementary school and is so key at this time and for the future. Data has connections to real life. Being able to use, read, interpret, extrapolate and think critically about data is much needed skill today.
@NatBanting@CeramicOwlbear I think the 'real world' part isn't just basic every day life, such as budgeting, etc. I think 'real world' is getting at where does the math we are doing come from? How does it connect to something that happens in the world? Making that connection for students is key.
@howie_hua I love your videos and your positivity in math! I hate that negative comments are giving you anxiety and want to share that I don't tweet because of the negative comments. Its scary to me. So I think you are truly brave and I learn and get inspired by you! Thank you!
@Mr_Rablin Love these ideas. Also wondering if there is space for students to give the teacher feedback on the class itself or ways to make the teaching more accessible or interesting. I love also hearing feedback from students on what is working for them, what they like or don't, etc

@DingleTeach I've been out of the classroom for while and it took some time to get comfortable with that. Appreciation week hits me hard, too. I realized, I never stopped teaching, the classroom just changed. You haven't stopped teaching. Your class got bigger! Thank you for teaching us,too!
