EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

🕹️A qualification in community development, development studies, social science, natural-resource management or a related field.
🕹️At least 7 years of relevant experience spanning community-facing fieldwork and programme management, including supervision of teams in difficult and changing field conditions.
🕹️Demonstrated experience building relationships with rural communities, traditional authorities, local government and external partners.
🕹️Experience in participatory land-use planning, community mapping, FPIC, community governance or community-based natural resource management.
🕹️A working understanding of rights-based conservation, customary tenure, safeguards and grievance mechanisms, with the ability to apply them in contested settings.
🕹️Strong programme, budget, staff-management, monitoring and reporting skills.
🕹️A skilled facilitator and listener who can manage disagreement, communicate clearly and maintain neutrality across competing community claims
